THE VERDICT:

If some of you guys remember, I've mentioned in one of my posts that I prefer oil moisturizers than lotions because I love the sexy sheen that it imparts to my golden skin. Apart from enhancing my skin color, I've also read somewhere (I don't know if this is true but I still believe in it anyway!) that oil can make your skin burn in the sun faster. That means darker skin tone for me. YAY! I know, it's a bad skin habit but I love my skin color so much that I'm always seeking ways to deepen its color or maintain its tan-ness at the very least that's why a dry oil body mist is one of my boudoir staples.

Currently, Pevonia Botanica's Dry Oil Body Moisturizer is my favorite. I am in love with its texture and smell. For some weird reason, it's taking forever to use even though I (ab)use it everyday. But that's good news, right? :)

By the way, Pevonia Botanica is a certified organic brand. From the plants to the farming methods, everything is organic. Pevonia Botanica has passed so many international standards making them as one of the authentic organic brands in the planet.

This is one thing everybody has to know: You can only say that an "organic" brand is genuinely organic if it is duly licensed by legit licensing organizations like an alliance of organic farmers and producers, board of chemists, organic products testing centers, what have you. Authentic Organic products should be organic all the way: From the source, to farming methods, and to the base ingredients. Even the manufacturing facility should not carry any synthetic chemical around the vicinity. Most affordable "Organic" brands that we know and patronize are not purely organic. Suffice to say, they may still contain synthetic chemicals that you've always been avoiding. How would you know if an organic brand is certified? Look for their certification/s. It should be on their website, stores, catalogues, or any paraphernalia of the brand. If they have, make sure you research about where they got their certificates too.

It only comes in one size, and in a recycled bottle with an atomizer.

Here's the product on my skin. It's very sheer, lightweight, and almost watery in consistency. It spreads easily, doesn't feel greasy, and has a lovely light baby oil scent. It feels pleasant to apply too!

Pevonia Botanica DOBM spread on my skin: It gets absorbed quickly and leaves my skin with a sheen that's never overwhelming, and supple texture. After a few hours, the sheen goes away, although I wish it stays on longer. But it amazingly keeps my skin soft all- throughout the day-No need to reapply! Even if the weather is hot or cold, this moisturizer does not evaporate! One time, I even forgot to rinse myself before working out and I had this oil on and surprise, surprise-my skin didn't feel greasy even if I was sweating buckets of water already! I've been using it for over two months now and I love how it made my skin softer than what it was. Thanks to all the premium oil ingredients in it!

In comparison with my other (and cheaper) favorite dry oil mist, The Body Shop's Olive Dry Oil Mist, this one's lighter and the scent is even more tolerable.

It's a very good product, albeit pretty expensive. That's another tell-tale sign for authentic organic products: Organic ingredients and farming methods are not cheap so genuine organic products would always come at a hefty premium. But at least you know that you're only getting the real deal!

I'd definitely get this again! For those who got cash to burn and organic products enthusiast, I suggest you guys check out this brand!
