Review: Estee Lauder Pure Color Nail Lacquer in Delicate

Here's a review on Estee Lauder Pure Color Nail Lacquer in Delicate

THE VERDICT:

Delicate is part of Estee Lauder's Red Haute collection of the Pure Color Nail Lacquer range. The Pure Color polish range promises intense, true, and long- lasting color, and comes in a variety of shades from glam, to romantic, to pretty.

Bottle looks really sturdy and pretty, and I really like the ice cube look of the glass. :D

ESTEE LAUDER PURE COLOR NAIL LACQUER IN DELICATE IN DETAIL

Delicate is a bright true red shade with a high shine finish. The lighting just sucks in this photo but in person, what you see on the bottle is what you'll get on your tips. Fluidity is very good upon initial application, and I get an opaque finish in one stroke. However, its consistency turns a little goopy if you don't work it on your nail bed quickly. It's touch- dry in a little over 1 minute and the shine lasts up to 8- 10 days, albeit it ain't chip resistant.

It's just regular red nail polish to me, and if I'm going to spend 900 bucks on a bottle of polish, I'll get the unique colors such as Bete Noire and Ultra Violet, and the gorgeous metal polish in Noveau Riche. This Spring 2013, Estee Lauder Philippines is bound to release the Heavy Petals collection, so check that out as well because it carries a motherload of pretty pastels.

  1. I found the perfect red nail polish for me and it's Elianto in Chili Red cost only Ph99 and lasts up to two weeks depending how many coats you apply. I'd rather buy 9 different colors from Elianto than splurge Ph900 on a single pop!

  2. ang mahal and the polish does not even occupy most of d bottle. if i were to spend dat much on a polish, id splurge on a holo effect polish or a very good and chip resistant top coat.

  3. ive been a fan of the local brands and the korean brands, but i prefer the latter because its staying power and its bottle life after opening is very far from the local brands. if ever ill pamper one day myself, maybe ill buy the pastel ones. :)

  4. Yanny: True! But the other Estee Lauder polishes are nice. I'd rather spend on the other shades than this. :D

Jenny: Go ahead! They will come out this may, albeit they're limited edition. :)

Eloize: True. But the bottle, I think, is meant to be that way: There's a layer on top of the actual packaging. :)

  5. With the name Delicate, I was expecting a milky baby pink color! I love EL nail polish, goes on like butter!
