THE VERDICT:

I've been a bad blogger lately-I know, I don't update as often as I used to, and most of my reviews are quite "meh", at least to me. Ack! I got so many projects that came flooding in this week, and they need attention, but I promise, regular blogging will resume tomorrow! :D

Anyway, I'm reviewing Benefit's Moisture Prep Toning Lotion from their B.right Skin Care Line. I've searched for reviews about this product on Google, but only found a few. (And they're by international beauty bloggers) And I'm more than happy to add another, proudly- Filipina review in the list!

BENEFIT MOISTURE PREP MOISTURIZING LOTION IN DETAIL

Packaging is as whimsical and cute as Benefit's famed makeup products. Bottle is made from a sturdy kind of plastic, but it does not look cheap at all! It only comes in one size though.

Basically, it's good ol' toner, but this one is the milky, spreadable kind. While I agree that its texture is friendly to a wide range of skin types, I do not believe that it can address all skin concerns as there is no such thing as an all-in-one product.

Here's a detailed look at the star ingredients:

Meadowsweet Extract- Anti- Inflammatory and an anti-oxidant
Oat- Provides moisture
Aloe- Soothes skin irritations
Yeast- Helps reduce hyperpigmentation; moisturizes; helps promote collagen synthesis

First off, it has a mild floral scent that is very relaxing. It doesn't sting despite its alcohol content, and I've also observed that it helps calm throbbing, painful zits so I rub it on them most especially if a new one appears on my skin. It leaves skin supple and soft to a point where I don't use moisturizer right after--yep, that's how moisturizing this product is! On hot days, I only use this right after cleansing my skin and I'm good to go. However, it doesn't control oil and does not help tame breakouts, although it does not trigger them. Bottomline, it's a soothing toner that packs on a good dose of hydration.

I recommend this product to people who are looking for a moisturizing, hydrating, non- sting toner, most especially to people with very dry skin. It's a little pricey though, but I'm happy to know that it somehow delivers.

  3. definitely we will miss your blog reviews, but like the first commentor said, it's understandable. Though it's super pricey nga but i'm sure it really effective since it has aloe that also an anti-aging element.

  5. Jenny: Thanks for understanding. :) Yes, I do have oily skin that's why I only use it when the weather is hot so as not to aggravate my skin's oiliness.

Eloise and Issa: True that! :D
