THE VERDICT:

Joining my growing concealer collection is Krave's one and only concealer, Ultra Bright HD Concealer. It's a multitasking product as it can be used on the under eyes and complexion, conceals and cares for the skin at the same time, and it can apparently whiten skin discolorations with continued use. Here are the star ingredients of this product:

Licorice Root- Lightening; helps with skin redness
Green Tea- Antioxidant
Rice Bran- Hydrating; lightening; exfoliating
Golden Jojoba- helps balance skin sebum; anti- acne
Ingredients

It comes in three shades: Struffoli (Fairly Light), Panettone (Olive Light), and Crostata (Medium Olive).

KRAVE COSMECEUTICALS ULTRA BRIGHT HD CONCEALER IN PANETTONE IN DETAIL

Packaging feels a lil' too plasticky to me, and the product is not secured properly onto the base: As days go by, the base part crumbles and as of this writing, the concealer has popped out from the base already. Hope Krave does something about it.

TIP: To help keep the product intact in the tube, push it up from the base until the head pops out slightly (around 0.5 cm will do), position it on either your face or under eyes in a flat- faced angle, and gently sweep from side to side until you achieve your preferred coverage.

Panettone is a light beige shade with a strong Yellow undertone and a hint of Olive undertone. Methinks it's the most universal shade between the three selections, and I like that it can minimize the appearance of dark circles and brighten the under eye area all at once-no need to use a separate corrector, unless your dark circles are THAT grave. I'm also liking its creamy yet non- oily consistency. Its texture is quite moisturizing, it is unscented, blends well, and sets easily-texture kinda' reminds me of Benefit Fake Up.

However, I've noticed that these grains started showing up after a few usages. Are these Rice Bran grains or unprocessed pigments? I don't know, but I'm only sure of one thing: They're scratchy, but they flatten out after a couple of swipes.

KRAVE COSMECEUTICALS ULTRA BRIGHT HD CONCEALER IN PANETTONE IN ACTION

Bare under eye

Two layers of Krave Cosmeceuticals Ultra Bright HD Concealer

Coverage is light to medium. I like that it yields a natural- looking, photo- friendly finish. On this area, staying power is good: It keeps under eyes moisturized the whole day, doesn't settle into fine lines, doesn't cake, albeit it fades minimally at day's end.

Let's see how it will fare on facial concealing:

Uncovered post- acne marks

Coverage is only good for hiding very light post- acne marks. Since it has a creamy texture, it's not a good choice for facial concealing on oily and combination skin-I think it will work best on dry skin.

In my opinion, this product works better as an under eye concealer.

This is a nice product because it's perhaps the most affordable moisturizing under eye concealer out there. I just hope that the next batches don't have that grainy texture any longer, and the packaging improves for a bit.

  1. It's my first time to hear of this brand. Nice review! It sure looks promising as an undereye concealer.

  2. I've tried that concealer before, but different packaging. Its packaging now is way more better than before. I've experienced those grains too, and yeah, it doesn't work well with my oily skin so I stopped using it. I didn't experience breakouts with this concealer though.
