Last week, I was invited to
Syoss’ Hair Affair not only to enjoy the free, awesome hair makeovers, consultations
and learn more about hair, but also as a guest for their Blogger portion along
with Fashion Bloggers Cheyser Pedregosa of Walking Recessionista and Seph Cham
of his namesake blog. The event happened at SM Megamall.
People have lined up and
waited patiently for their turn at the makeover counters just to get ultra
gorgeous, bombshell dos. I guess the waiting time was well worth as all of them
exited happy and beaming with sheer confidence! I had a little chat with this
nice lady and asked what particular product/s were used on her and she happily
replied: “The smoothing cream from Syoss,
the one in the tube.” I asked her again how she found it and she mused that
she likes it because it’s fragrant, has a nice straightening effect,
non-sticky, and most importantly, it doesn’t weigh her hair down. Now I’m
intrigued-what could that product be?!
Since we’re already talking
about this mysterious Syoss product, might as well look at their entire range.
I already talked about Syoss in this blog post, and I’m sure you all know by
now-especially my avid readers-that it’s a professional- grade, budget-
friendly, Japanese hair care line formulated with the help of professional
Japanese Hairdressers, but here are more interesting facts: The foundation of
their products is the Pro-Cellium Keratin technology, a technology that helps
build and strengthen hair from the outside in and is exclusively used by
professional hairdressers only, while the Anti-Dandruff line contains Zinc
Pyrithione that wards off dandruff from the first application and yields an
anti-fallback for up to 6 weeks and the DIY Hair Color range provides complete
grey coverage and lustrous color. The main goal of Syoss is to give you salon
hair and salon care every single day.
Back to the makeover! Now
it’s my turn! Click READ MORE and see my hair transformation!
Here are the products that were generally used in all
of the makeovers. I guessed that the tube on the far left, Syoss Glossy Jelly,
is what the kind lady was talking about. I verified it with the hairdresser who
did her hair (and mine as well) and yes, that was it! I’ll go and check it out!
My turn at the hot seat. I came in with mucky, dry-
looking hair as I was out the whole day attending meetings while running
errands in between.
Here’s my hair after the makeover. My hair was coiffed into soft, Goldilocks curls, and the Syoss product used was the Bouncy Curl Whip, a very light whip that didn’t make my hair feel thick and sticky. Man, that makeover made me feel pretty even after a hard day. Know what? You should take advantage of free hair makeovers when you spot them--it doesn’t matter if you don’t have a special occasion to go to-the point is, you will feel good!
Anyway, a few minutes after
the makeover, host Gelli Victor announced that it was time for Bloggers’ Night,
and called me, Cheyser, and Seph onstage.
We were asked to talk about our makeover experience:
The styles we chose, what we think about it, and how it made us feel. I think
our short interview was meant to let the audience realize the importance of
hair grooming and how it can affect the entire look as well as the way one sees
himself/herself. I guess our tips were very well appreciated by the audience as
I saw most of them smiling and listening intently!
Premier hairstylist Mycke Arcano also graced the
event and demonstrated his prowess by creating a soft, wavy look and the messy
bun.
There were also fun games
for the audience…
…while a few were called
onstage to share their thoughts about their makeover.
The night was ended with giveaways and mini contests
for the members of the audience.
A fun night indeed because
I was able to get to know more my fellow bloggers, and I got to share what I
know about hair care and beauty! ‘Til next time, Syoss!
Syoss shampoo and conditioner starts at P10.00, the
styling products at P120.00, and the Hair Color packs at P330.00.
