FAN MAIL FRIDAYS: Hyped Products That Are Worth The Hype

Wassup everybody? Time for another FMF question. :)

Hi Martha!

I just started getting interested in beauty products, and because of that I
stumbled upon your fabulous blog. To be honest it's the only beauty blog I
read cause you pretty much got everything covered and I can't really ask
for more. One of the main things I've been interested about are those "cult
favorites/hyped products" I want to know what cult favorites you think are
worthy and that you actually use a lot and is part of your go-to beauty
essentials.
Thank you very much!
Therese

Hi Therese!

Wonderful question! This also made me wonder if the common Holy Grail product/s that people are claiming are indeed for real. I’ve tried some of these HG products and I could attest that they’re really worth the title.
BOBBI BROWN’S FOUNDATIONS

FYI, this brand converted me from being a powder foundation user to a liquid foundation user. Bobbi truly knows how to enhance skin naturally and this is why for liquid foundations, I would recommend Bobbi Brown any day.

LANEIGE WATER SLEEPING PACK EX

A hydrating treatment that’s really effective, although takes a while to produce its real effects. Laneige’s best- selling skin care product is something to turn to if you want instant hydrated- looking skin, and genuine softer and younger- looking skin in the long run.

SHU UEMURA CLEANSING OIL

I’ve already mused for a couple of times that this oil is the shizz. It doesn’t only clean skin, but treats it!

SHISEIDO POWDER FOUNDATION

Same thoughts with Shu Uemura’s cleansing oil. I feel like a broken record now, but I can only say one thing about it: This is the best powder foundation brand I’ve used!

MAC LIPSTICKS

From pros to non-pros, everybody will agree that MAC is one of the best lipstick brands on the planet. (If not the only) I love MAC’s lipsticks because the selection is so wide, pigmentation is to die for, and I’ve found almost all of my favorite lipstick colors in this brand.

MAC 217

This is perhaps MAC’S widely- recognized makeup tool. Whether you’re an expert on eyeshadows or not, this intelligent blending tool will still give you that decently blended look-it’s inevitable!

MAJOLICA MAJORCA LASH KING MASCARA

One of the best Japanese mascaras there is. :) It's waterproof prowess is to beat, and it does everything it promises: lengthen, volumize, and curl!

CURE NATURAL AQUA GEL

This water- based exfoliator that everybody (even Hollywood and Asian celebrities) have been raving about is primarily made up of water, hence it’s mild, non- drying, and non- irritating. I have yet to find a facial scrub that’s gentler than this.

CLINIQUE CHUBBY STICK

Nobody does it better like the original! Regardless if it’s the classic, dewy Chubby Stick or Chubby Stick Intense, these colorful barrels of moisture truly keep its promise and that’s super smooth, hydrated, and juicy lips all day long. (Even if it comes off!)

KERASTASE ELIXIR ULTIME HAIR OIL

If Bobbi made me a liquid foundation user, Kerastase turned me into a hair leave- in user! This thing has somewhat resurrected my deeply damaged hair that’s why it’s such a keeper.

There you go! Let me know your HG products!

  3. I agree with Cure as super effective. It's really good and super gentle. I got a sample of this from Sample Room and planning to buy a full sized product.
Though I also found a product similar to Cure which is the White Result Exfoliating Gel, maybe you could do a review on that Ms. Martha? :)

  5. A lot of these I've always wanted to try, but couldn't afford.. My HG products are all from drugstore brands. Most products I use in my day/night routine are from Celeteque, from their Acne Solutions line. Super effective! I also LOVE Human Heart Nature Sunflower Oil! I guess that will do for now while I still can't afford the Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil :P

  6. Of all the products that were listed here, I only got to try Shu cleansing oils, Cure, and MM's mascara.

I agree that all of them are incredibly expensive even for those who aren't really scrimping on their beauty budget, but I was totally sold by how effective they are.

I love these 3 products becuase:
    1. They're dual purpose
    2. They deliver the results that they promise
    3. They last for a loooong time. :)
