THE VERDICT:

Can I throw a party for the world? LOL! Because I am overjoyed to learn that the ever elusive Candy Yum Yum is now part of MAC's permanent lipstick collection. That's one brilliant move right in there, MAC! I've learned about this awesome news during the exclusive MAC Archie's Girls launch in SM MOA. Invited Beauty Bloggers and Press people were given the privilege to purchase items from the said collection before the public launch, but all my hauls were non- Archie stuff and this is one of them. I could only purchase one lipstick (self- imposed shopping spree reduction that time) and it was a battle between this and Boyfriend Stealer. Candy Yum Yum won because I have been dying to get it for so long!

Candy Yum Yum was part of the Quite Cute collection. I was even told that a few minutes after MAC US launched this product in their website, it went sold out! When it was pulled out for a while, a lot of online sellers have been selling this at ridiculous prices-there was even one local ebay seller who was selling it for P2,500.00!

MAC CANDY YUM YUM IN ACTION

Candy Yum Yum is a cool- toned fluorescent pink shade with a tiny hint of lilac, which I think was needed to give it a screaming, bright glow. Finish is matte, but strangely enough, it is non- drying and texture is soft. It's the most tolerable matte lipstick from MAC in my opinion. Pastel and neon lipsticks would often have a streaky, patchy payoff, but this baby is not draggy and provides a full, even finish. Candy Yum Yum looks great on any complexion!

I thought this color would look really off on my skin tone, but surprise, surprise-it turned out beautifully, although it's not for the faint of heart. I like wearing this brightening lipstick with a toned- down outfit, and with anything white because it looks great with this color. I get mixed compliments on this lipstick: Some say it's unique, some say it's a little too bright, and others say that it's pretty. (Which is the majority) Whatever the compliment, I'll just quote Glee: I DON'T CARE! I LOVE IT! :D

Candy Yum Yum is definitely joining my favorite MAC lipsticks list!
