Too Cool For School

I had a private viewing recently of Too Cool For School's playful array of items in their first store at SM Mall Of Asia.

Too Cool For School is one of the newest Korean makeup brands to open in Manila. The store has this laboratory kind of feel with dozens of products categorized into series, inviting you to explore your makeup style, stand out among the rest and just be, ya know, too cool for school. :D

What's in a name? Too Cool For School was inspired by a school of fish. Instead of just being one of the fishes, why not be the shark or the dolphin or the whale or the mermaid? You know what I'm talking about.

The brand has four cartoon ambassadors who each represent a set of personalities. :)

1. Sienna- Dreamer, social butterfly, feminine extraordinaire, diva
2. Joey- Traveler, classy yet laid-back liberated, androgynous
3. Emma- Artist, child at heart, jolly, and with a flair for the Boho life
4. Max- Mysterious, secretive, wise, meticulous. Surprise! Max is a cat-he's the pet of Sienna.

I'm more of Emma with a dash of Max. Who's your TCFS character? :) While you think about that, click READ MORE and I'm going to show you their best- sellers.

After School BB Foundation Lunchbox is my idea of a cool lunchbox: It has a BB Cream, Concealer, and Highlighter in one bottle. Truly an on-the-go product! :) There are two variants for the BB Cream: Dewy and Matte. There's only one shade for each variant, I believe.

The BB Creams come in travel- sized versions for your convenience-they work as samples too so you can test them prior to buying the full- size.

Hot Girl Lip Sticker is a line of long- wearing lipstick.

The fuchsia shade kinda' resembles MAC's Girl About Town.

Here's my most favorite makeup series from the brand: DINOPLATZ! It's inspired by Dinosaurs living in the modern world! :D

This innovative mascara called Escalator Mascara has a two- way wand: Twist the bottom of the cap clockwise to elongate the wand and to get a lengthening effect, and twist it counter clockwise to shrink the wand and to get a volumizing effect. So cool! :D

Guggeno-Saurus concealer is a duo of complementing creamy concealers for the under eyes. One of my favorites from Dinoplatz too.

Rules of Pore is a collection of pore- shrinking and pore- purifying cleansers. Made with pure Morocco Ghassoul clay. The one in the tub contains a high concentration of clay formed into hard chips that you melt with water and use as a regular facial mask. Best- seller!

Rules of Trouble is a BB Cream for problematic skin.

While Rules of Pore is a collection of primers targeted to oily skin. They have a primer balm that feels very silky and covers open pores instantly!

Art Class is a series of color makeups such as the Multi Color Paint-you can use it for the lips, cheeks, and eyes. The red one is very pretty!

Up To You Multi Palette is a customizable eyeshadow/blusher palette, just like the ones in Japanese brands.

Jean George Llong is an SPF 50 sunblock for women-has a For Men variant too.

Takkoza is a funky line of makeup removers. We have makeup remover wipes, creams, and liquids here.

With Jarelle, Brand Manager for Too Cool For School Philippines.

Price point is a little pricey than most Korean makeup brands because according to Jarelle, Too Cool For School's products, especially the skin care items, are made with organic ingredients. The packaging's worth paying for too. :)

Here are the stuff I got. So, which product you want me to review first? :) Too Cool For School is located in SM Mall Of Asia and SM North Edsa. Please visit TOO COOL FOR SCHOOL PHILIPPINES for more information about the brand.

  1. I'm obsessed with BB creams so I'd say BB cream.. If not, the lipstick looks really great. I wonder if it's pigmented. ;)
