THE VERDICT:

The name's kinda' funny, but it does make sense to call Primer as "lingerie". If your skin is the private part and foundation/bb cream/tinted moisturizer is the pants/slacks/skirt, Primer is definitely the underwear. The 'underwear' that I'll muse about today is Majolica Majorca's Skin Lingerie Pore Cover.

Ingredients: Water, Cyclomethicone, Polymethlmethacrylate, Titanium Dioxide, Butylene Glycol, Silica, PEG-10, Dimethicone, Glycerin, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Trimethylsiloxysicilate, Diphenylsiloxy Phenyl Trimethicone, Ethylhexyl, Methoxycinnamate, Aluminum Distearate, Aluminum Hydroxide, Phenoxyethanol, Isostearic Acid, Iron Oxides, Trisodium EDTA, Mica, Polysilicone-2, Dimethicone/Methicone, Copolymer, BHT, Tocopherol, Tin Oxide

This primer promises to mattify skin, control oil, even out redness, and most especially, cover large pores. It comes in one shade only and in this very travel- friendly and sanitary squeeze tube. If I have mistaken Majolica Majorca's Eyes Reset Gel as an eye cream, I thought this one is a moisturizer!

Consistency is semi- creamy, spreadable, unscented, and has this yellow cake batter- like color. (Oh I'm craving for Cold Stone's This Is How I Roll ice cream recipe! :P) The heavy yellow undertone brightens up any skin tone, and is definitely Asian skin- friendly. Pigmentation is okay, and coverage is medium to full: You can build it up without the heaviness. It settles into a semi- matte finish quickly.

One layer of Majolica Majorca Skin Lingerie Pore Cover

I only use one layer because it yields a crazy white cast when I apply two or more, (Fair- skinned gals won't have problem with this, but morenas) but I find that one is good enough to seal my pores and diminish redness-if you can check the sides of my nose in the first and second pic, notice that it has become visibly smoother. I like its softening and smoothing matte texture that's great for flawless and easy breezy concealer and foundation application. It makes my foundation last for more than 5 hours and I only have to retouch once.

It's a great, affordable mattifying primer that doesn't feel too silicone-y, thus it feels very breathable. Goes so well with oily skin. I would also recommend this to people with dry skin because in general, it feels like a moisturizer and is very flexible once it settles onto the skin. Or if you just want your foundation to last longer without spending way too much on a primer, by all means, try this. :)
