First of all, I'd like to congratulate myself because I have finally slept early for five nights in a row. My usual 4am sleeping habit became 12am-I know that's already late for some people, but for someone like me, heeeyyyy...That's a feat! And because of that, I have been waking up early as well, getting more things done. I'm beginning to love the morning rush again so pray that I keep up! :)
Anyway, I'd like to introduce you to my newest skin care find, Absynthe Bath and Beauty. They recently gave me this box of their best- sellers called the Royal Loot. We'll be looking at the products in a few, but for now, here's a lil' info about the brand.
Absynthe Bath and Beauty, a local skin care brand, started in 2008 by Aby Yap who's a self- confessed lover of all things natural and organic. She started distributing Emu Oil to close friends and family members and one fateful day, she got inspired to add more products including soaps, shampoos, conditioners, and lotions until it became a full- blown skin care range. Despite the fact that they've been around for 5 years now, most of us (including myself) don't really know so much about the brand because they're not available commercially. Instead of going retail, Ms. Aby had a purpose and that is to help women unbox their own beauty through Absynthe's quality products as well as to unbox their own prosperous destiny through direct selling. Since 2008, Absynthe has been empowering women, especially stay-at-home moms who have been meaning to support their families through a small business, but have no access to a huge capital-the brand believes that everyone deserves to be beautiful and everyone deserves to succeed. Currently, there are Absynthe Bath and Beauty distributors all over the country as well as in Taiwan and UAE.
Voila! Here are the contents of the Royal Loot. The best sellers are as follows: Hair Goddess Shampoo and Conditioner, White Goddess Premium Emu Sap, 100% Pure Argan Oil, 100% Pure Emu Oil, Creme Dela Créme Whitening/Cooling Body Creme, Don't Bug Me All- Natural Insect Repellant, Hair Potion Hair Oil and Treatment, and Pure Intention Serum. All products are formulated without synthetic chemicals such as SLES, SLS, Parabens, Silicone, Pthalates, and Petroleum by- products, while the oils are certified eco-cert and ethically sourced from their respective origins. Absynthe Bath and Beauty is the only member/affiliate of American Emu Oil Association in the Philippines and in Asia, and they're also duly registered with BFAD, if you must know.
See the products in detail as well as my faves after the cut!
Hair Goddess Shampoo and Conditioner are my number one favorites-this duo is very light and refreshing to the scalp. Smells good too and I use them if my hair has been treated because they're sulfate- free. Hair Potion is a very rich oil that you can use as an overnight or at-home hot oil treatment. Don't Bug Me is made with natural Citronella and they said it's very mild that even babies can use it. Creme Dela Créme is a unique, light lotion with cooling properties-comes really handy when the weather is pretty hot and sticky!
Pure Intention Serum is my second favorite because it has this moisturizing gel- like consistency and it does energize my skin and improve its appearance. White Goddess is an intensive whitening soap backed up with the popular all- natural whitener, Bengkoang.
Finally, here are the oils. Both oils are cold- pressed to maintain their efficacy and nutrients, by the way. I've already discussed the benefits of these two wonder oils. I use Argan Oil on my nails and it smells delish too, while I use Emu Oil on itchy, red areas and guess what? It works!
I'll talk about the products in detail in a series of reviews. If you're interested to order, if you want to become an authorized distributor, or if you just want to know more about the brand, please visit ABSYNTHE BATH AND BEAUTY on Facebook for more information about the products and their business.
