Clinique Repairwear Laser Focus: A new way to repair and restore

I've read that a human being undergoes 7 cycles in his/her life every year, and each cycle runs for 52 days. The 4th cycle is a time for mental renewal, discovery and learning, and it's where I am at the moment. For the past few days, I've been spending my time thinking about so much stuff from current events to life decisions and sitting down and reading at least one chapter from the books I'm trying to finish. (Which is something I've never done in a long time) Sometimes, I feel so lethargic and I just feel like staring at blank space. Sometimes, I think there's something wrong with me, but like what they say, you can't fight the flow. Maybe I just have to accept the fact that I'm restoring, rejuvenating and healing, and I should savor these moments of quietness and just be grateful for this forced rest that I am experiencing. Perhaps I should just surrender, hoping that in just a few weeks, I'll be able to bounce back stronger and wiser than ever. And maybe-just maybe-this is the kind of rest I have long been yearning for. :)
Like the mind and soul, the skin needs some sort of renewal too. Like all of us, it is built to last, but sometimes, it gets tired and weak too. It needs a moment on its own to repair and restore in order to come back with so much vigor and life. In its period of restoration, a little boost from targeted skin care would definitely help such as Clinique's Repairwear Laser Focus Smooths, Restores, and Corrects Serum to nourish it-treat it as a power pack for your skin.

This serum has just undergone a reformulation. Know why it's apparently Clinique's most potent anti-aging serum to date after the jump.

Launched in 2010, Repairwear Focus was created by Clinique and their dermatologists to address lines and wrinkles in just 12 weeks and according to studies, effect is 63% comparable to the wrinkle- diminishing power of a dermatological laser.

"In talking with our guiding dermatologists, we learned that patients with lines and wrinkles also had poor skin texture. This prompted us to re-evaluate the original formula to see how we could improve the serum to address poor skin texture."
- Dr. Tom Mammone, Executive Director of Skin Physiology and Pharmacology, Clinique Research and Development, Worldwide

The latest version of this serum retains its original wrinkle- busting formula, but has added gentle skin- exfoliating properties and twice the amount of skin smoothing ingredients. These are made possible by the New Skin Resurfacing Technology, which is comprised of the following star ingredients:

Acetyl Glucosamine- An amino- sugar considered as the building block of Hyaluronic Acid; Helps break down intactness of epidermal dead skin cells for a more natural and easier shedding process.

Salvia Sclarea (Claryl) Extract- A natural extract that promotes cell differentiation, exfoliation, and reformation of the skin barrier

Not only does it correct wrinkles, it also reverses photo damage and strengthens skin health with the following extracts:

Micrococcus Luteus (Ultrasomes V)- Liposomes (a skin component) that supports skin's ability to repair photo damage by itself.

Plankton Extract (Photosomes V)- absorbs visible light to promote natural cellular repair and helps improve the appearance of photo-damaged skin overtime.

Vitamins C and E- Antioxidants

Yeast Extract (Roxisomes)- targets free radicals.

The new Repairwear Laser Focus Smooths, Corrects, and Restores serum will be available this January 2014 in all local Clinique counters. It retails at P3,300 for 30ml and P4,500.00 for 50ml. For more updates on its counter launch, please visit CLINIQUE PHILIPPINES on Facebook.

  2. Clinique always has amazing skincare products... their cosmetics may be a hit-and-miss kind of line, but their skincare is off-the-charts!

  4. Wow.. never knew humans has such cycle..at least now, I am able to justify those moments.. and I'll just quote and quote.. :)

Anyways, I guess you are right, I manage to do that on my nails and hair. At a certain point of time, I let them rest and avoid any treatments or applications. My nails had a 2 months rest without polishes, eventhough I am a nail art fanatic..and as much as I wanted to do my hair again, its getting thinner so I am letting all the natural hairs grow out first.
I guess its the same with the skin, I am getting afraid that my age would show already in my face and when asked about my age..I really sometimes forget how old I am.. hahaha.
When I get my extra funds together next year, I would surely backread again to check out all these products you have reviewed.

  5. I'm 31 and wrinkles are starting to be obvious. Getting a radiant and flawless skin is really an investment. I save a portion of my salary just to splurge on a good anti-ageing product. Clinique is one of 'em.

  10. Aisha: Usually, Clinique has versions of their products for sensitive skin. Don't know if they have one for this product though. Best to visit a Clinique counter to inquire. :)

Claudine: Yep. I love their toner! :)

Leilani: Thanks for sharing. :) Clinique is one of the fairly affordable brands out there, considering that it works just the same as the super expensive brands. :)
