THE VERDICT:
It' only the beginning of 2014, but I already have a favorite product for this year and it's Eye Of Horus' eye pencils. Just found out that they have liquid eyeliner too and I have pretty high expectations for this! Let's check it out! :)
EYE OF HORUS LIQUID DEFINE IN BLACK IN DETAIL
Just like the rest of Eye of Horus' liners, this one is formulated to suit sensitive skin. It features a precise, reversible felt tip applicator that lets you control application.
Ingredients
I don't know how this thing reverses itself, but I do know that it's stiff yet soft: It doesn't wobble around, thus I get to create flawless lines, but it's not the least bit scratchy.
More about this product after the cut!
It only comes in one shade, pigmentation is medium to heavy and you can build it without getting product transfer on your lashes (there are certain liquid pen liners that just spew out so many product). It dries up pretty fast and doesn't transfer on the lids after application, but don't blink right away-give it 30 seconds to a minute to set and it's all good!
EYE OF HORUS LIQUID DEFINE IN BLACK IN ACTION
Shade is an intense black and finish is patent. Staying power is good: on my oily lids, it lasts all day and the shape of the line stays intact, but I get a teeny weeny transfer on my lids if it's really humid.
I think its wear time is comparable to K-Palette, although this is a tad bit expensive. The extra bucks you pay for is for the mild formula that won't sting and make you teary- eyed. Other than that, this is an okay liner. Best for you if you only want gentle products touching your eyes! ;)

ReplyDeleteThis looks totally lovely! I always use liquid black eyeliner and I feel incomplete without it. I just want to know, is this waterproof? Also, do you need heavy duty eye makeup remover oil to take it off or it's just easy to take off using normal makeup removers? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI was never a fan of eyeliners, but this one's pretty good. Though, a bit expensive for an eyeliner.
ReplyDeleteIf it's the same as K-Palette, I think I'll stick to that one but maybe I'll try this one too.
ReplyDeleteNice detailing..although I never used liquid liners before (maybe because I didn't like the hassle of waiting for it to dry when I am always on the run). Perhaps would try, But I still prefer the pencil type ..hehehe
ReplyDeleteThough I must say, that is one good liner if the application pic is to be the reference..
Thanks for this review! It's good that it has mild formula 'coz I sometimes get itchy with some liquid eyeliners..but it's a bit expensive though.. :(
ReplyDeleteP.S. I just like to comment, I find it hard to comment on your post always, :( most of the times, it takes so long to load your page esp. the comment section. :((( that 1 day is not enough.. :( we have good internet connection here naman.. :(((
I love liquid liners and I've been using them ever since I discovered them. I have watched an australian YT beauty guru talked about this product and was psyched that you had a post! Woot! ;))
ReplyDeleteLet me know what you think of this post! :)
