THE VERDICT:
Happy Valentine's Day! I'm reviewing Kris Aquino's first- ever lipstick product for you guys today. If you still have time to mosey around the mall after work and before your V-Day date, why not check out this product?
If I remember it correctly, I have never seen Kris Aquino in a shade of lipstick other than pink. Why? Because she said that it's the color that looks good on her, thus she stuck with it. Maybe if there's one person who knows pink lipstick well more than anyone else, it's Madame Kris!
But why did she choose Happy Skin for her first- ever signature lipstick? Kris said that she loves makeup and she fell in love with Happy Skin's products the first time she saw it. She's also never co-created a makeup product in her life so when the opportunity became present, she didn't think twice and dove into it and out came Valentine Kiss.

Kris said that this shade is patterned after her kind of pink: light, joyful, elegant, and utterly feminine. Valentine Kiss is a cool- toned light pink shade with a hint of lilac.
Kris said that this pink is not the teeny bopper, bubblegum-y type, but methinks that rings true for fair skin. On medium and morena skin tone, it appears somewhat bubblegum-y. I also think that it's somewhat close to MAC's Pink Nouveau, but minus the all too pastel tone. In this photo, I've layered it twice, but if you want to minimize the intensity, apply one layer on each lip, rub 'em together and just even out the coverage using a clean finger.
I just like applying a sheer layer on my lips to get that petal- fresh, soft look. If I apply a lot, I find that it kinda' clashes with my deep golden tan because hue is on the cool side. If you have fair skin, I think this will look better on you. Also, a portion of the sales of this product goes to the maintenance of Our Lady of Manaoag in Pangasinan so if you wanna do something good this week, get this!

I have the MAC Pink Nouveau and it does look kinda similar to this so I'm gonna pass on this one. I love the hot pink packaging though. Happy Valentine's Day!

I checked this out at two different Beauty Bar branches yesterday and was thinking of buying myself a V-day treat. Unfortunately after two tests, I wasn't that convinced to actually buy one. I had to layer it on a bit to get some color (happens on most lipsticks in my case) but realized it was quite too pinkish. I guess, one has to swatch and try it out before buying 'cause it may have worked for Ms. Kris Aquino but it doesn't mean that it will work just as well for you :)

Ohhh, it's actuall super light! Never would've guessed from just looking at the crayon. I'll probably skip on this but I'll definitely try the other Happy Skin lipsticks.
