New Perfumes To Try This Summer from Givenchy, Elizabeth Arden and Lacoste

Just a quick round up of some of the newest fragrances to hit town!

One of Givenchy's most successful fragrances, Play, has come up with a lighter version of the original Play For Her. An apt fragrance to welcome the joy that is Summer, Play For Her EDT is for the young woman who gives in to life's pleasures. Embracing freedom to the fullest, the Play woman is never the type who'll say no to fun. Spontaneous, carefree, and a born adventurer, but deep inside, she is also a playfully seductive vixen, ready to lure you into her playground. Top notes have an audacious and playful mix of wine peach and white currant, heart notes include white iris, liquorice blossom, and base notes have Amyris woods.

More fragrant news after the cut!

My mentor in the Theatre once said: "The journey is more important than the result". I look up to so many figures in society (Oprah Winfrey, for one), but what intrigues me the most is how they got to where they are rather than their current status because their journey, to me, has more value-without it, they will never have what they have right now.

Elizabeth Arden's newest fragrance, Untold, celebrates the journey and intrigue of every modern woman. Encased in a multifaceted, oblique flacon, it symbolizes her different facets and untold stories, whether it be her dreams, successes, milestones, or even her losses. The fragrance is sophisticated, precious, sensual, romantic, and confident, like a woman who has been molded through time. The Untold woman has a mysteriously compelling charm and grace that one can't help but wonder, "What's her story?"

The notes in the fragrance are carefully selected to evoke the Untold woman: Pink Pepper and Bergamot that symbolize her vibrant spirit, Pear and Blackcurrant for her unpredictable ways, Gardenia Petals and Egyptian Jasmine for her romantic and refined side, Patchouli and Sandalwood for her mysterious allure, and Amber and Musk for her sensual side.

There are girls who like to keep it simple, and they prefer wearing a fragrance that can go from day to night and I believe this last fragrance is definitely a good fit. Introducing the new Eau De Lacoste Sensuelle, a perfume inspired by the transition of a light and happy day to a cool and fresh evening. Top notes open up to a sparkling concoction of pink pepper and black currant to energize you during the day, and then shifts to a soft, caressing heart and base of soft nougatine, florals, and amber to set the mood for a fancy evening.

All fragrances are available in all Rustan's malls. Prices for the following fragrances are:

  2. I have perfumes in both Lacoste and Elizabeth Arden and I just love them. I might choose these brands over the Givenchy one if ever since they are both in EDP. I prefer EDPs than EDTs in general since the scents are more long-wearing.

  3. I've tried Untold, but it wasn't my cup of tea. As for Givenchy, well, it looks promising. Sometimes, just looking at a fragrance campaign can already tell you the mood the scent will evoke. Maybe that'll be the case when I finally get to take a whiff of that.

Matromao: That's so true. Regarding Givenchy, it is indeed a flirty and fun scent. I'm wearing it everyday since I got it. :)

Kat C: me tooo! Most of perfumes are edps. :) Surprisingly, Givenchy lasts for a while on me despite the edt formulation. :)
