Daisy has always been my favorite flower (aside from Rose) because it's so simple but so pretty, and it definitely brightens up any room! Not only that, it has therapeutic benefits if taken internally (e.g. Tea) and recently, it has been found to help whiten skin and reduce hyperpigmentation caused by age, acne, and sun damage. I have yet to find more clinical studies related to the Daisy Flower as a whitening agent, but in the meantime, I guess I have to find it out for myself with Burt's Bee's new Daisy White range.
Here's one good info about Daisy Flower extracts from skin expert Lydia Sarfati:
At the moment, Bellis Daisy is my favorite botanical ingredient. Hormonal changes during our lives combined with summers spent in the sun can bring out hyper-pigmentation and sun damage in the skin. Today, we can help treat hyper-pigmentation with Bellis Daisy. It influences various pathways involved in melanogenesis by decreasing the production of Endothelin-1 (ET-1) it reduces the UV-stimulated induction of melanin biosynthesis. The binding affinity of melanocyte-stimulating hormone (alpha-MSH) to its receptor and tyrosinase activity is both down regulated. When used in skin brightening products this flower is actually able to help treat hyper-pigmentation before, during and after it occurs providing even-toning and reduction of the appearance of age spots.
The launch was held at the savvy Le Jardin restaurant in W Bldg., Fort Bonifacio Global City. Click READ MORE to know what this line can do to bring back that white (and supple!) glow to your skin.

OMG my favorite beauty bloggers in one picture! :) Burt's bees is one of my favorite brands talaga when it comes to skincare. I'm really interested to try this Daisy White range. Aside from the fact that Daisy is also one of my favorite flowers, this range addresses my skin concern particularly hyperpigmentaion. :)
ReplyDeleteI wish I have one of those daisy flower crowns too haha!
I have heard a lot about Burt's Bees but haven't tried any of their product yet. Thinking of trying it now specially the Daisy White Eye Cream. Hope you can review it too. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteAs always, the first thing in a skincare collection I am drawn to is the eye cream. :) I still have over half a tube of my HG eye cream, but who knows? I'll drop by Beauty Bar to give this a swatch. I might like the texture.

I haven't tried any Burt's Bees products yet. Was suppose to try their lip balm but, this one caught my eye more. I might try their Facial Wash and Moisturizer soon. Hope you could also do an individual review for each product, we're all dying to know your say on this whitening line. :3
ReplyDeleteWow! It's such a very promising product. I must going to try them :)
ReplyDeleteThis is so in time! I just googled Burt's Bees the day after yesterday. =)) Ms. M, I wish you included the retail price together with the caption of each products :) I've always been into Asian-friendly face products, so I guess this will now be included on my list! Hihi ;)
ReplyDeletePS: I so love your flower crown. I like how vibrant the daisies are. Just so perf for the crown!
The trusted bloggers <3 I think Im going to believe on this one. 4 weeks before seeing some results. Some products only say that it only takes 7days to see the results but after finishing the whole bottle, your skin is still the same just like when you're just starting off with the product. And besides, burts bees products are so skin friendly, i just hope theyre not that pricey.
ReplyDeleteI've been eyeing this line ever since I saw it in Beauty Bar, but I'm still waiting for your and Liz Lanuzo's reviews. Hehe.
ReplyDeleteHi Martha! So.. I had the idea of going back to some of your old posts to find which one my favorite is. It's nice to revisit this one as I've already gotten the Daisy White line myself, with the exception of the cleanser wherein I bought from the Burt's Bees Sensitive line for that. (Yun lang nga, may almost one year delay.) I think it's timely to see my own comments and be at that point where I can go back and add to the discussion further.
ReplyDeleteI've only used the moisturizer so far, but I'm head-over-heels in love with it. From the scent to the gentleness, I kinda wish I hoarded more from the Burt's Bees sale! I can't wait to open up the serum, though I'm just waiting for an older one to run out. I don't plan on using both at the same time, but the serum could be more of a spot corrector. (Don't mind me. Kuripot mode right now.)
Let me know what you think of this post! :)
