THE VERDICT:

The only natural skin care practice that I do until now is running ice all over my face. Why? First and foremost, it's refreshing and it's my tried and tested technique to achieving awake- looking skin. I do this technique if I feel like doing it and most especially, if I have a big event the next day. However, this causes a rift between me and the household because if I do it, they have nothing to keep their drinks cool haha! The Body Shop's new Vitamine E Aqua Sorbet Boost prevents me from being the household's a*hole because it's just like ice, but in liquid form and much easier to use!

THE BODY SHOP VITAMINE E AQUA SORBET BOOST IN DETAIL

This product is a cooler version of the original Vitamine E Moisturizing Cream. It features the Aquasphere technology that promises to deliver lasting coolness to the skin and Vitamin E to aid in skin regeneration-also contains mattifying properties to keep skin looking and feeling fresh the whole day.

Aqua Boost Sorbet's consistency is gel-pudding and texture is soft, light, and soothing. I find though that it reacts to certain alcohol- based toners by coagulating-I would suggest that you use an alcohol- free toner with it.

THE BODY SHOP VITAMINE E AQUA SORBET BOOST IN ACTION

Whenever I use this product, it's like I'm applying a sheet of ice on my skin because it delivers a very cool sensation upon contact, which really comes handy on a very humid day. As for the mattifying promise, it just keeps you oil- free for a while so you can do your makeup in peace-it doesn't have significant oil- controlling effects, albeit it doesn't aggravate oiliness. This is not a primer, folks, it's a moisturizer (although it feels like one!). :)

Given the texture and consistency of this product, I firmly believe that this is best for normal, oily, and combination (oily-normal) skin. We all know how oil can make our face feel 'thick', slick, and messy, and this moisturizer beats those. This is a keeper for me because it's a good and non-wasteful substitute for my ice regimen!
