Here’s the truth: The
skin is more complicated than you think. As the body’s first defense against
external aggressors, the skin is wired to meticulously filter each and every
single thing that comes into contact with it and this is why not all skin care
products can penetrate the skin 100% and why some skin care products take time
to produce results or worse, not produce any results at all. Ever wonder why
there are products that are formulated to be sheer and infused with deep-
penetrating ingredients? It’s because brands are trying their best to go around
the complex structure of the skin in high hopes of giving it the essential
nutrients and vitamins it needs.

If you can’t do it on the
outside, do it on the inside. Take this tip to heart: It is important to take
your multivitamins on a daily basis because one, these are skin- loving
nutrients in a much concentrated form, two, they obviously supplement your skin
from within, and lastly, multivitamins will prevent Vitamin Deficiency, which is
detrimental not only to your health, but also to your skin in the long run.

To battle Vitamin
Deficiency, you have to consume the proper kind and amount of foods to insure
your body and skin’s health, but research has shown that people don’t get the
right amount of vitamins and minerals on a daily basis. You can try to be
meticulous about it, but isn’t counting calories along with vitamin milligrams
every single day a bit too tedious and taxing? That’s why there’s the multivitamin!

Vitamin A
Vitamin A is widely
treasured in the anti-aging industry and is even used in acne skin care
solutions. Vitamin A deficiency in the body results to flaky, rough skin.

Vitamin E
The
free radical- fighting vitamin that aids skin as it repairs itself everyday.
Aside from being an antioxidant, Vitamin E also helps skin heal from UV
damage. Vitamin E deficiency may
manifest as sun spots or hyperpigmentation on the skin.

Vitamin D
Vitamin D aids the skin
and body’s immunity, and also helps the body produce sufficient amounts of
collagen. Blocking the sun through the use of sunscreen (along with the lack of
intake of Vitamin D- rich foods) is one of the causes of Vitamin D Deficiency,
which in turn may cause skin to go dull and lifeless.

Vitamin B2
Or Riboflavin. Vitamin B2
helps skin produce enough mucous (for moisture) to prevent skin inflammation
cases such as dermatitis, eczema, and rosacea.

Vitamin C
Just like Vitamin E,
Vitamin C is also considered as a good antioxidant, but it has its own notable
benefits for the skin as well: It helps clarify the skin, aids the skin in
producing collagen, and counteracts damage caused by UVB. Vitamin C Deficiency
may result to uneven skin tone.
These are just the
main vitamins that keep our skin healthy-of course, there are more and the good
news is you can find the other equally important minerals such as calcium,
selenium, and zinc in a multivitamin supplement-no need to take them separately
at once!

Don’t just trust any
multivitamin supplement out there. Like in skin care, you have to be meticulous
about supplements too, but meticulous doesn’t always mean pricey. With just
P10.00 a day, you can be sure that your skin is well- taken cared of on the
inside with Centrum, one of the leading multivitamin supplement brands. From
sun up to sun down and A to Zinc, Centrum provides you the right amount of
vitamins and minerals to keep your skin and body healthy, boost your energy and
performance, improve your eye health, and fill in your daily nutritional gaps. Centrum has long
been a staple in our household and has long been assuring my family that we’re
getting the right amount of vitamins we need.
For our skin to be
completely beautiful, we should always do our best to not only take care of its
beauty, but also its health: exercise regularly, follow your skin care routine
to the letter, and be religious with your multivitamin supplement intake. That
wasn’t so hard, right?
