THE VERDICT:
I wish more Japanese BB Cream brands will come to the country just because I like them very much and they fit our climate pretty well-I've proven that they're the champions in the long- wearing department and Heroine Make Lasting Mineral BB Cream is another proof that if you want a BB Cream that will last in our humid weather, Japanese BB Creams are the way to go!
HEROINE MAKE LASTING MINERAL BB CREAM 02 IN DETAIL
This sebum- proof BB Cream with a foundation- like coverage nourishes the skin with minerals and softens with a serum formula of Penetration- Hyaluronic Acid, 8 types of Amino Acids, Collagen, Wild Rose Extract, Chamomile Extract, and Ceramides. It has SPF 34 PA and is fragrance- free.
Product comes in a soft, easy- squeeze tube-it's very compact and you can pop it in your purse so you can refresh your makeup anytime.
Ingredients
There are only two shades for this BB Cream (which is one of its weaknesses): 01 and 02. 01 is a very pale shade so I went for 02, a medium light beige with a light yellow undertone-methinks this shade will fit girls who have NC30 or NC35 as shade match. Consistency is light, whipped, and almost airy, and texture feels really soft that it moisturizes my skin instantly upon contact, and coverage is light to medium. Finish is semi- matte and it has no fragrance.

Bare skin
PROStudio Concealer + Two layers of the BB Cream
Another thing that I dislike about it is its streakiness: I'd always have to use two layers of the BB Cream to get an even payoff, but doing so means turning my skin into a shade or two lighter. On a positive note, this BB Cream has pretty excellent coverage--take a look at the photo above-it seems as if I'm wearing foundation! However, if you're a morena like me, you would need a shade- matching powder in hand to somehow adjust the tone of this particular shade to your skin tone.
I only use it on casual days just because it's too light for me and it yields a white cast. It's obviously light on me, but at least it doesn't look too bad, eh?
Now onto its performance: Hands down, this BB Cream controls oil really well-it takes 4 hours or more (depending on the weather) before my T-Zone oils up and formula resists fading too. Another thing I like about it is despite its semi- matte finish, it doesn't clog my skin, feels soft, and is a bit moisturizing too. This BB Cream would require a bit of effort especially since it doesn't offer a lot of shade choices to begin with, but I guarantee, its overall performance will make it worth your while!

I have the lighter shade of this one and I love it. It keeps my face from getting oily for 5-6 hours I think. The shade fit me well and it didn't feel heavy on my face. :) It's affordable too! The downside lang for me is that it's not widely available pa as of now. :) I can't find it in some Watson's here in QC.
ReplyDeleteI'm a fan of Heroine Make products, I share the same wish that eventually Japanese cosmetics will come to the Philippines soon :P
ReplyDeleteI will be checking out Beauty Bar and Rustans next week hoping to see this BB cream, If it's available then I'll grab one for me...
So many BB creams, only one face! It's really hard to make a choice recently because of all the choices available to us, and affordable too!
ReplyDeleteHope HM will become more widely-available. I also have the same shade but it's too light for me too. I've tried it once, and liked it. I might as well use it more because I have an oily T-zone.
ReplyDeletei'm using the etude bb cream, i find it a little oily after an hour applying. i hope this one could work for me after i finish the etude i might try to purchase this and see it for myself if it works...nice post! :)
ReplyDeleteAbegaill and Juvy: thanks for your feedback! I'll let Heroine Make Philippines know about this. :D
ReplyDeleteJulia: Thanks, dear! For Etude House, go for the PERFECT FIT or COTTON-labeled BB Creams because they're made for combination oily-normal and oily skin. :)

ReplyDeleteI've heard a lot of good reviews about this product. And, I'm thinking of buying this BB cream really soon. I want to give a try to Japanese BB cream since I've been using Korean BB creams since then.
