THE VERDICT:
Summer is facial wipes season for me because I could always use extra freshness and moisture during this time of year. And did I mention that our main bathroom could feel like an oven during this season? Yep, it does-if I slather cleansing oil on my face, my skin would literally feel warm, icky, and as if it is being clogged-it's uncomfortable so hurray for cleansing wipes! Burt's Bees Facial Cleansing Towelettes is my go- to luxe makeup wipe lately because it has really good quality and removes makeup thoroughly while making my skin feel fresh.

BURT'S BEES FACIAL CLEANSING TOWELETTES IN CUCUMBER SAGE AND ORIGINAL IN DETAIL
Burt's Bees prolly has the biggest wipe I've ever seen-size is so generous that you can clean your face over and over again with just one wipe, and it's soaked with the cleansing solution, but it's not dripping and messy. By the way, this product features an FSC- certified natural cloth and that means it's not synthetic and free from artificial dyes-just pure cotton touching your skin. I also believe that this is the reason why the product is a bit on the pricey side.
White Tea has a citrus-floral scent and it's for all skin types while Cucumber And Sage has a fresh, watery scent and it's for Normal And Dry skin types. Both products yield a cooling effect to the skin and I appreciate this feature especially now that the weather is really hot. However, I have to admit that the cooling sensation is very strong and it may trigger flare- ups on hypersensitive skin and those with Rosacea.
This product can remove makeup really well, although not waterproof mascara. It doesn't leave any sticky or oily residue so I use it on my body after a workout sometimes.
The pack of 30 can last for a month even if you use it everyday because as I said, you only need one to remove at least 98% of your makeup. Btw, the sheets don't dry up quickly too.
How does it differ from another favorite of mine, Nivea Facial Cleansing Wipes?
Nivea is cheaper.
Burt's Bees is pricier.
Nivea only comes in one size, 25s.
Burt's Bees comes in two sizes, 30s and 10s.
Nivea's cloth is smaller and it's not all- natural.
Burt's Bees' cloth is bigger and all- natural.
Nivea is just a plain makeup remover.
Burt's Bees is a makeup remover with skin care properties.
Nivea has two variants.
Burt's Bees has three variants.
Nivea is more accessible.
Burt's Bees is only available in Beauty Bar stores.
Burt's Bees Cleansing Facial Cleansing Towelettes is my go- to luxe cleansing wipes because it delivers really well. If you can afford to splurge a little, try this really nice product. :)

I have the towelettes in original and I am loving it! I got mine in project vanity's anniversary and I will purchase once I run out of the product.
ReplyDeleteI have the yellow one and I super love it. Like you said, it isn't dripping wet so I can bring it and use it anytime, anywhere. The towelette is huge, so when I have minimal makeup, I only use half of it. It smells good too. The packaging is perfect and you can reseal it easily after getting one. It makes my face moisturized and it doesn't sting my eyes. Yun nga lang, this is not for waterproof makeup. It's not that strong kasi nga it's natural. :) would love to try the green one soon! It might be pricier than Nivea, but it's still affordable. :)
ReplyDeleteI've tried the original. It was cooling at first, but then it turned into slight stinging. At first I though it was the fibers in the towelette meant for mild exfoliating, but then the Celeteque wipes (made with more or less the same fibers upon closer inspection/comparison) didn't have such an effect on me. That's when I realized it was the makeup remover liquid itself that was causing the sensation. Tolerable, but a bit uncomfortable.
ReplyDeleteI was a little freaked out at first, but I saw that my skin wasn't red or irritated. Just the strange feeling is all. No breakouts naman, fortunately.
It seems like the only negative thing about burt's bees is the availability. Well, it's pricey but from your review, the quality of the product is worth the price. This is something that should be part of an on-the-go girl's vanity pouch.
ReplyDeleteIt's really expensive po pala! I'm really glad I attended Project Vanity's 7th Anniversary Event! That's the first time I took home a lot of beauty products! hahaha... Hope I could attend one of yours in the future. Have a nice day po. God bless. (^....^)
ReplyDeleteI have the white tea variant and it's amazing! I agree, it's a bit pricey but you really get your money's worth. The wipes are huge that I'm finished removing my makeup, then wiped it on my body for that extra refreshing feeling and the wipe is still soaked with the cleansing solution. I actually ran out of idead on where to use that just one towelette!
ReplyDeleteIm using the original one. I cant live without it. Its always on my bag and my computer table. Its very handy & very important esp this summer.
ReplyDeletei havent tried the BB wipes! nivea got buy 1 take 1 so i got the chance to try them =)
ReplyDeleteGlad that I've read about Nivea here. It got me a bit curious.
ReplyDeleteI currently use a brand called "Giggles" which is available at leading groceries. It actually is labeled as "baby wipes" but I also use it on my face since it's extra-soft, alcohol-free and unscented; not to mention it's cheap. I consume about 2 packs of 32's a month.
Would love to try this! Sticking to "Giggles" for now though haha.
ReplyDeleteWipes are heaven sent I must say. It's a basic for me, specially during this season. I use this alternately with nivea wipes. The former for days when I put on extra make up and the latter for the in betweens.
ReplyDeleteMyunixie: Awesome! :D Try the new variant, Cucumber Sage-it's so refreshing! :)
ReplyDeleteCamille: Hey there and welcome to my blog. Thanks for sharing. Have you tried this one already? what's your favorite brand of wet wipes? :)
Merii and Grace: Giggles is my favorite all- around wet wipes! :D
Flexxy: Thanks for sharing. It's a bag must- have, i must say. I should get the pack of 10s! :D
Rhain: How do you like Nivea? :D
Jhake: Agree. It's really pricey so I don't use it everyday. :D
Matromao: Agree. Sometimes, it feels cooling and sometimes, stinging to me. I could tolerate it anyway. :D
Abegaill: Awesome! Glad you liked it. Since you don't use up everything at once, it would be more cost- efficient for you if you just cut the wipe in half. ;)
Glad you've posted a comparison with Nivea wipes as i was about to ask that hehehe :) The tipping point is whether you're really OC with what you use. Nivea is okay for me but I may try it when I ran out. I guess this is really handy to have for those tamad days or when in travel since this is a 2 in 1 product
ReplyDeleteit was nice on skin ms m! i would get more!
