BEAUTY BULLETIN: New From Chapstick And Dove + New Skin Care Brand From New Zealand, Antipodes

It seems to me that skin care is a growing segment in the local beauty scene as a lot of new skin care brands are coming in and that only means one thing: Filipinos are becoming more and more conscious of their skin's health and appearance. Hallelujah! Finally, more and more people are taking that next step towards loving themselves better through a good skin care regimen. I'm feeling so accomplished right now as I believe I took part in this trend-this is what I've been blogging about and encouraging people to do for the last 6 years! This growing love for skin care makes me even more excited to report about the latest beauty brands and products in the country; I'm sharing a couple below!

Antipodes refers to a group of islands belonging to New Zealand or a term to collectively call Australia and New Zealand; it's also a certified Organic brand that hails from New Zealand.

Antipodes is a scientifically validated organic beauty brand with presence in the US, Australia, New Zealand, and Europe--it's apparently popular in the UK and approved by the Vegetarian Society of the United Kingdom. Finally, it has landed in the Philippines. The brand harnesses the natural powers of Aotearoa, New Zealand's abundant flora by using sustainable, eco-friendly methods; Some of the powerful, native botanicals used in each and every Antipodes product are Avocado Oil, Manuka Honey, Mamaku Black Fern, and Kowhai leaf to name a few. Lately, Antipodes took part in the discovery of Vinanza Complex, a bio-active complex featuring highly potent antioxidant compounds namely Vinanza Grape, Vinanza Kiwi, Vinanza Oxifend, and Vinanza Performance Plus and is being utilized in their anti-aging products.

FYI, Antipodes has received government funding for their scientific researches from Callaghan Institution, an advanced technological institute in New Zealand.

Antipodes commits to delivering only the most effective high performance skin care products by investing in thorough product research and development that takes up to 18 months to guarantee that only the best ones make it to the market; that is very well proven as they won numerous media awards already! Below are some of Antipodes' winning products:

More than beautifying skin, Antipodes also aims to connect us to nature by going green, holistically, so aside from being a true organic brand, it is also Vegan, Cruelty- free, and uses vegetable- based inks and recyclable aluminum tubes, bottles, and biodegradable cardboard from sustainable forests for their packaging.

Antipodes is available in Wellness Connect at SM North EDSA Annex, Quezon City. I have Ananda Antioxidant- Rich Gentle Toner (P1,425.00), Worship Superfruit Antioxidant Serum (P1,600.00), and Anti-Ageing Minis (P550.00) to try and review in the next couple of weeks. In the meantime, visit WELLNESS CONNECT NEW ZEALAND on Facebook for more information about Antipodes.

  1. OMG, mukhang di na keri ng wallet ko ang Antipodes. Haha. It's a bit pricey for me but as you stated, it's "a scientifically validated organic beauty brand" naman so maybe maganda and effective nga talaga sya. I do have brand loyalty sa Dove kaya na-curious talaga ako with their new product. I'm gonna check it out in the department store later. Luckily, nakakuha ako ng chapstick mixstick from the sample room and yes, it's super good. Yayy, thanks for this post Ms. Martha :))

  2. Chapstick was my first lipbalm. Now that my lips requires a hint of color aside from moisture, i opted for tinted lipbalms but the new Chapstick variant is so interesting! Never heard of a dual-ended, dual-flavored lipbalm before. What i love about Dove shampoos is the subtle fragrance but I have thick, fluffy hair so this is not the variant for me. And the Antipodes? Well, i still have to wish on a star for that.

  4. The antipodes is a bit expensive for me. Haha. I hope it works great. Chapsticks is an old favorite of mine and now they have a more interesting product! Will try that soon. I've seen the Dove na in stores and I wanted to try it as soon as I finish my bottle of shampoo and conditioner. :)

  5. I love Antipodes and Wellness Connect NZ been purchasing Antipodes from them these past few months.
Of all the natural skincare I've tried this is the only brand that did not irritated my skin!
I have oily & sensitve skin this is what I currently use that works for my skin type: Juliet Cleanser, Ressurect toner, Worship Serum, Rejoice Face Cream(not available locally), Kiwi Eye cream, Aura Manuka Mask, Reincarnation Exfoliator(not available locally) & Skin Saviuor Balm. My mom uses their Divince Face Oil after Ananda toner it dramatically reduced her wrinkles, her face is plumper and lightened her melasma!
AS for me, my skin is glowing and calmer it is a good break from frequently using AHA's because of my skin type! I'm quite addicted to Antipodes, before I can only use a Hypoallergenic brand but now I alternate it with Antipodes.
