THE VERDICT:

Is your hair dry and frizzy lately? Mine is and it's because of this sudden shift in the weather from hot to cold; Now my hair looks messy and unkempt all the time, and the ends, oh the ends! They look dead! :(

Cold weather can suck the moisture and life out of the hair and to solve this problem, I went for Eva NYC Clean It Up Shampoo, Soften It Up Conditioner, and Hungry Oil Treatment, emollient hair products that infuse hair with super moisturizing ingredients. It's perfect for the cold season!

EVA NYC CLEAN IT UP SHAMPOO, SOFTEN IT UP CONDITIONER, AND HUNGRY HAIR OIL TREATMENT IN DETAIL

Eva NYC Hair Care line is a range of professional yet affordable products that fortify, smooth, revitalize, and repair hair with Argan Oil and Keravis Protein, which is clinically proven effective in strengthening hair and protecting it from the heat. It is paraben, mineral oil, and phosphates- free, and not tested on animals.

Eva NYC has really pretty packaging and it looks so gorgeous that I wouldn't even think that the products could get as low as 265php!!! The shampoo and conditioners come in 500ml bottles, and retail at P545.00, respectively.

Ingredients

Save your hair from this freezing weather when you click READ MORE. ;)

The shampoo has a light cream-gel consistency; it lathers up generously and does not leave my hair dry when I rinse it off; I think this is the only shampoo that does not dry out my hair in the shower. The conditioner, on the other hand, has a semi- whipped cream consistency. It moisturizes hair thoroughly, making it easier to detangle. Both products have a creamy floral scent.

Hungry Hair Oil Treatment is a leave- in treatment that moisturizes hair intensively and feeds it with vitamins and minerals from Argan Oil while Keravis Protein coats and protects each hair strand.

Ingredients

Hungry Hair is a very rich oil. It's very moisturizing, but does not get absorbed easily. In fact, it can even leave an oily residue so I only use it at night as a protectant from the cold blowing monster. It has a creamy floral scent as well.

EVA NYC CLEAN IT UP SHAMPOO, SOFTEN IT UP CONDITIONER, AND HUNGRY HAIR OIL TREATMENT IN ACTION

I used the three products and took this photo. It was a stormy, cold day and my hair's not looking it! The products yield a light, smoothing effect that's enough to tame frizzies but without weighing the hair down. It keeps my ends shiny and soft the entire day, making me forget that they're almost dead. :p

I would not use this emollient range during summer though especially since I have an oily scalp.

Eva NYC is such a steal for its price because it's effective, made up with quality ingredients, and packaging is beautiful. It could save any dry hair and soothe dry scalp, and it's an awesome cold weather hair care range!

  1. The only product I've ever tried from this brand is their dry shampoo. It was all right but a bit expensive. I might give this a go since my hair is so dry and frizzy! Ayayay. Thanks for this post. :)

  5. I had my hair treated and was advised to use only sulfate-free shampoos. I was wondering, is this sulfate-free (since I did not see any in the ingredients pic)? Is phosphate-free the same as sulfate-free? Thanks Miss M!

  6. It's affordable nga. I never checked eva nyc because I was expecting it to be pricey, considering the packaging and all. Now I have the reason to try it. :) My hair is behaving well recently and it's healthier. But I will still try these products to keep my hair healthy.

  7. Jeremy, Donna, and Pbhie: welcome! let me know how you like it when you get to try it. :)

Abegaill: Yes! There's nothing wrong with making the healthy healthier, right? :D

Mommy Charm: The products have sulfates, dear. Just use them a month after your hair color procedure. By then, the color has settled onto your locks already and is much more resistant to surfactants. :)
