THE VERDICT:

Berlin ArtParasites on Facebook has been keeping me up all night. I just couldn't help it. When I read good poetry and gaze at good art, sleep just escapes me. I love this page because the poetries are so raw and just tug at your heartstrings. Sometimes, it brings out feelings in me I never thought I had, thoughts I never knew were there. Oh, Art!

Taking a break now from my most favorite page on Facebook by musing about Heroine Make's first- ever eyeshadow products called Jewelry Eye Color. This eyeshadow palette comes with its very own primer and it can pretty much last the whole day. Reviewing it further below.
HEROINE MAKE JEWELRY EYE COLOR IN BEIGE GOLD AND PINK AMETHYST IN DETAIL

Jewelry Eye Color features a complementing eyeshadow primer for all- day color coverage and a smooth, buttery texture for the shadows. It comes in four color combinations: Pink Amethyst, Beige Gold, Yellow Sapphire, and Rose Garnet.

Products comes in a compact acrylic packaging; it's simple and classy, and will appeal both to the young and not-so-young.

Left: Pink Amethyst
Right: Beige Gold

Here are the shades of Pink Amethyst palette:

1- Medium Gold
2- Sheer Pink (Primer)
3- Rose Pink
4- Coffee Brown

Here are the shades of Beige Gold palette:

1- Bronze/Beige
2- Yellow Gold (Primer)
3- Midtone Brown
4- Dark Brown

The palettes have a uniform metallic + frost finish. Pigmentation is medium to heavy and the colors don't look cheap. The quality of the eyeshadows are good, although I think the singular finish makes it a bit limiting.

The primer, on the other hand, has a light silicone texture and is laden with micro shimmer for extra glow.

HEROINE MAKE JEWELRY EYE COLOR IN BEIGE GOLD AND PINK AMETHYST IN ACTION

Beige Gold is more suitable for medium and morena skin tones.

Pink Amethyst is suitable for fair- skinned ladies because the rosy effect will give such skin tones a healthy pop of color.

The primer doesn't do anything to improve the intensity of the colors, but thankfully, the eyeshadows are quite pigmented in the first place. The primers can at least help the colors stay intact for a couple of hours.

Jewelry Make Eyecolor is a basic palette that everyone can afford. I would recommend it as your everyday palette because colors are neutral, quality is pretty good, it's not so expensive, plus it comes with its own primer, a product that improves the quality and wear time of eyeshadows-people have to know this. If you're one of those people who believe in what eye primers can do for you, but can't purchase one due to budgetary reasons, this eye palette will be perfect for you because it comes with its own primer already.

  1. gorgeous palette on the go! this makes me remember the l'oreal eyeshadow quad which was a craze for a bit that i actually got the darker smokey quad. it's good because you don't need to bring a lot of palette with you or find for a combination because this is already laid out for you, they key now is just the blending :D and it's cool to know that it already has the primer with this price as some heroine products is actually a bit expensive. Thanks for this review Ms. M.! :)

  2. I have both palettes which I got from Genzel! So generous of her to give it to her COM. I haven't tried it yet though because it looks so cute to be used. :) Glad I saw your post so now I have the reason to use and abuse it. It's affordable pa. I hope they'll have matte shades in the future since not everyone is a fan of shimmery eyeshadows. :)

  4. I loved that the colors in each quad are coordinated but why no mattes? I feel like the quad would be better if they made the dark shadow on the left matte.Anyways, great review Ms. Martha! Also, I love your new blog format! Ive been following your blog for 2 years and the new format makes reading your posts such a breeze!

  13. Great concept! I dread the day i'll run out of my eye primer because I have oily lids.. Doesn't matter how expensive the makeup is, it will always crease on me!
This one from Heroine Make looks promising. i'm a bit apprehensive on the shimmery finish but I think it's workable, pang-everyday office makeup look lang naman. :)
