THE VERDICT:

What's your favorite drugstore shampoo and conditioner brand? I have a couple and one of them is this: Syoss Hair Care. I've been using this range ever since it landed in the Philippines. I like what Keratin does to my hair (and that is it softens my hair effectively) and this is one of the affordable hair care lines made with Keratin that's why I like it.

So, is your hair in dire need of softness? Check out this line. ;)

SYOSS HAIR CARE IN DETAIL

Syoss is a drugstore brand inspired by professional salon techniques and formulas, specifically by the Japanese. The shampoo and conditioner products are all infused with Keratin Complex and come in Anti- Dandruff, Moisture, and Repair variants.
SYOSS HAIR CARE IN ACTION

Moisture Intensive Care Shampoo and Conditioner

- This has got to be my most favorite Syoss variant because it truly moisturizes hair. Both the shampoo and conditioner have a moisturizing formula, and it makes detangling in the shower much, much easier. This one tames frizzies effectively too!

Repair Therapy

- This is a pretty good range if used religiously and for a while. If used for about a month consistently, you'll notice that your hair has become more resilient and shinier. Not a fan of the conditioner though because it makes my hair weirdly stiff in the beginning before softening it. :p

All products have a uniform white floral scent.

The Anti-Dandruff variant were used by my brother. I've no Dandruff anyway and neither does he, but he grew up using Anti-D shampoo so I'd say it's just habit! ;p

The common denominator between these products is they make my hair really soft and smelling nice to boot. I use these specifically after swimming either in the pool or sea because it softens my hair quickly and minimizes hair damage through combing. Between Repair and Moisture, I choose the latter!

What's your favorite drugstore shampoo and conditioner brand?

  1. My current favorite shampoo is the one from Dove and my HG conditioner is from Pantene. I've been very happy with my current hair products so I don't see myself using this anytime soon other than if I have don't have my faves on hand, which I don't think will be the case in the near future. Hmm. Thanks for this post!

  4. I love Dove and Pantene but now, I am enjoying Moringa02 a lot! Especially when I use the shampoo, conditioner and serum! Only problem is that I find it hard to squeeze the conditioner bottle :( But I super love it. It makes my hair all soft and nice. While we were having a lab activity few days ago (positioning and turning) I volunteered to be a patient in our group and a friend accidentally brushed through my hair and she was like "ang ganda pala ng buhok mo!"

  5. I always see these bottles when we do grocery shopping but I never bother to look on the tag price presuming that these were expensive. I will definitely try Syoss as soon as I finish my current Palmolive Brilliant Shine shampoo and conditioner that by the way, smells so good.

    1. Palmolive is the perfect shampoo and conditioner variant if you commute all the time because my experience with this product is it makes my hair smell nice the entire day!

  6. I have tried the repair version of syoss and I loved it. But the drugstore shampoo and conditioner I use the most is Tres Semme. :) It doesn't dry out my hair and it smells so good. Relatively affordable too, especially if you buy the big bottles.

  7. Love ko rin to Ms.M, kasi its mura! Cheapest yata sa lahat ng may keratin na shampoo. The conditioner is not that nice but the shampoo is good. Gonna try this again specially the anti-dandruff one.

    1. Yup! It's one of the cheapest Keratin- infused shampoos. Same sentiments as you-wish that the repair therapy conditioner would be more moisturizing! :)

  8. I really love the Repair line. Unlike other conditioners, this one was very gentle yet very effective in battling out damage. I have the Damage Repair line from Cream Silk, but when used everyday, I noticed that it thinned out my hair. Currently, I'm using Palmolive (Ginseng + Keratin) as shampoo and Schwarzkopf (Q10) as conditioner. I am someone who uses conditioner everyday to battle my thinning hair (not the almost-bald kind where you can see my scalp already). The Moringa-O is really good and does a good job in nourishing my hair. I finished the whole bottle in less than a month. My only problem with it is that it's quite hard to squeeze the product out.

    1. Do you apply conditioner straight to your scalp, dear? If yes, please refrain from doing it; conditioners are only meant to be applied on the mid-section to fringes of your hair. :)
