L'Oreal True Match Blur Cream Primer Review + Swatch

Here's a review on L'Oreal True Match Blur Cream.

THE VERDICT:

Blur Cream is a vital part of today's selfie- obsessed generation; I like the idea of it giving you filter- free, photo- ready beauty, but unfortunately, most blur creams are only just that: skin fillers with zero makeup- holding power and sebum- stopping properties. At least L'Oreal has thought of creating True Match Blur Cream, a blur cream that acts as a primer too; it's like hitting two birds with one stone!

L'OREAL TRUE MATCH BLUR CREAM IN DETAIL

Blur Cream has Micro Blur Technology that minimizes the appearance of pores and smooths skin for that perfect selfie.

Ingredients

I was told that this product replaces Base Magique; it's quite similar to Nude Magique Blur Cream and Revitalift Magic Blur, blur creams that are made by L'Oreal as well. Blur Cream has a rust- like shade with a heavy Peach undertone; its shade looks fairly off and you'll wonder why L'Oreal ever did this, but when you blend it onto your skin, it disappears into a transparent, smooth veil; I even noticed that the Peach undertone kinda' helps with the concealing of dark marks.

It has a slightly crusty, odd texture and sloshes out the tube so be sure to apply it on a flat surface. Otherwise, it will fall to the floor and there goes your moolah. :p This product is unscented and is packed with Silicone so steer clear if you are allergic to this ingredient.

L'OREAL TRUE MATCH BLUR CREAM IN ACTION

L- Bare Skin
R: One layer of Blur Cream

Check out the side of my nose. Notice on the left photo that it looks quite rough and on the right photo, the roughness was smoothed out by the primer; Works pretty well as a blur cream. I treasure this product the most as a primer because dang, it makes the surface of my skin so, so smooth that foundation just glides effortlessly on it and looks very even, plus it can keep my look matte and fresh for about four hours. It's not advisable to be used on top of makeup though.

This is my favorite primer as of late because its a blur cream, primer, and a sebum- controlling product in one, plus it works well with any foundation, from liquid to cream to powder, and from drugstore to luxurious brands. I'd love to repurchase!

  1. Wow! The color and texture is very interesting. I have tried the Face Blur from Etude House and the Porefessional from Benefit and have been enjoying both. I might try this out when I finish up one of them. In fairness! This is actually affordable, considering this is L'Oreal and L'Oreal is a bit expensive here in the PH. I'll definitely check this out!

  6. For Php 400.00, I think its worth it because of the coverage on your blemishes. Regular concealers aren't enough to cover some of the blemishes and some are hard to blend with the skin especially when if you're morena. I'd love to try this product so that if ever I have zit/s or pimple marks and I need full coverage, It can help me achieve my desired coverage to look good. Thank you for this review. :)

  7. It sort of looks like that weird foam stuff you get when you juice apples :)) but performance-wise, well, it just might make me a primer convert! A little bit hesitant about the pink and orange-ey tint though. Pink base + yellow chinita = oompa loompa

  8. I liked this product for it minized my pores but it still made my face oily. Also, silicone clogs pores so I stopped using it.
