THE VERDICT:

I'm seeing the silver base of my MAC Full Coverage foundation-the best cream foundation there is-already and I need a worthy counterpart ASAP. Inglot's Stick Foundation presented itself to me, willing to meet my strictest standards and it did not fail; this lightweight cream foundation conceals, corrects, and beautifies naturally!

INGLOT STICK FOUNDATION IN 106 IN DETAIL

This medium to heavy coverage foundation is enriched with Evening Primrose extract to condition and beautify the skin while giving it a smooth, flawless finish. Hypoallergenic formula and comes in 9 shades.

Ingredients

Product comes in a sleek, glossy black tube that's so chic; the foundation stick itself has a medium- sized diameter, allowing me to run it even on the corner of my face. It has a perfume- like fragrance, reminiscent of Kryolan's TV Paint Stick. The product feels secure in the base: it doesn't wobble and make me feel as if it's going to break as I run it across my face.

INGLOT STICK FOUNDATION IN 106 IN ACTION

Face with Pink Sugar Our Lil' Secret Concealer

So this is how I apply cream foundation. I draw lines all over my face in this pattern and blend with a flat top kabuki brush afterwards.

106 is a medium beige with a light yellow undertone. I find that its shade selection has a huge jump from one shade to the other: you'll find a match if you're either fair, medium, or very dark; it's one weakness of the range, plus I find it very fair- skinned friendly; I hope there's at least a shade after 106 because I find this shade half light on me.

One layer of Inglot Stick Foundation

Consistency is slightly creamy and it blends out easily on the skin; Coverage is medium to heavy, but it feels oh-so-light on the face and look, it naturally evened out my skin tone, concealed discolorations, and made my skin look better. The slightly thick consistency helps cover up minor skin bumps. Finish is semi- matte and it's very photo- friendly!

Staying power is great at 5 hours before it fades, thanks to its semi- matte finish. I also checked the coverage of this product closely and noticed that it binds really well with the skin, which I think is one great, contributing factor to its beautiful, skin- like finish and long- wearing property.

I deem this the worthy alternative to MAC Full Coverage because it's as lightweight, natural- looking, and performance wise, it's very comparable to MAC's concealing prowess; Inglot's cream foundation is a just a bit more expensive, but more accessible; It's very comfortable to wear that even BB Cream wearers will like this foundation and if you need more concealing effects without piling on the coverage and dealing with heaviness, this is one great product to try!

  1. Wow it really is photo friendly and you don't need filters if you use this foundation. And describing it as light on the face is another factor to consider!

  2. Thank you for sharing your review on the Inglot Stick Foundation. I am quite picky when it comes to foundation because I don't know the end result if I put it on my face. Your review about this is making me consider to get this. I love that you mentioned that it has medium to heavy coverage yet light on the face. Love the photos as well, you look great after applying it. Have a great day Ms. Martha.

  4. Now I already know the trick with stick foundation (I always end up giving it to my cousin hahahaha) I never tried drawing it around my face.

  6. I noticed that you applied Pink Sugar concealer first, then applied foundation over it. Doesn't this technique make the concealer budge? I apply Pink Sugar concealer over foundation, but sometimes it makes my makeup look thick and cakey, especially since the concealer is too orange on my skin. Apparently, my skin is very yellow.

    1. I prefer applying concealer before foundation general because I want a more even look instead of a highlighted under eye. You can apply it after foundation too. Given your case, maybe you should apply it before so your shade- matching base will tone down the orange cast and adjust it to your skin tone better. That, or mix it with other concealers that fit your skin tone.

  9. Hi Ms. M! Can you do a side-by-side comparison of this product and Kryolan's TV Paint Stick? I'm considering buying the latter but when I saw this Inglot Stick Foundation, I got confused! Halp! Thanks in advance!

    1. Hi Jeselle, I don't have the stick foundation now so I can't make a just comparison. For the sake of giving you an answer, Inglot is best suited for daily wear while Kryolan is best for pro use; I find that the latter has a slightly thicker coverage to even out skin tone on T.V. :)
