THE VERDICT:
After so many trials, I've finally found my favorite (and possibly, the best) mascara from Etude House: Lash Perm Curl Fix; this waterproof (for real) mascara volumizes, defines, deepens lash color, and keeps lashes curled the whole day. I'm in love!
This is the Dual Jelly Brush, which is very cool and very useful in my opinion, delivers two effects: the flat side coats all the strands even the tiniest ones and the domed side separates and lifts the lashes; the size is pretty small which is perfect for Asian eyes. This wand is small but terrible because despite its size, it delivers big benefits.

This volumizing/curling/defining mascara features the Curl 24Hr Technology that delivers a powerful, all- day lift; features the versatile Dual Jelly Brush that coats and lifts all lashes; waterproof, sebum- proof, and sweat- proof; No smudge, no clump. It comes in the colors Black, Brown, Plum Burgundy, and Pink.
Ingredients
The product has a whipped mousse consistency, which allows it to cling onto and build on the lashes effortlessly. Drying time is pretty quick, pigmentation is heavy, doesn't clump, but formula must be evened out while it is still in its wet state because it won't budge when it finally sets.
I read in the website that the Curl 24Hr Technology is only present in the Black mascara. I just find that a little weird though, but at least I'm not directly affected because I rarely use colored mascara.

Staying power is very good: it lasts the whole day with zero smudging and flaking in normal conditions; I used it to one of my workouts and it did smudge for a wee bit on my lids after sweating and oiling up real hard, but it was tolerable and it did not run off that's why I still wear it to the gym; it delivers amazing, lasting curl hold as well that opens up and brightens the eyes! I swear, your lashes will stay curled up and no matter what with this mascara! One small caveat is it's just a little hard to remove.
This prolly Etude House's best mascara to date as it delivered everything it promised and it's one of the true all-in-one mascaras out there. I'm repurchasing!

Wow I've been wanting this mascara eversince it was released last year, though I find it a bit expensive. I also read a review that it's quite hard to remove but ofcourse what I love about it is the brush as you said it's perfect for our Asian eyes unlike other mascara brushes that are way too long. Anyways I might try this one, when I hit one of Etude House counters.

DeleteYour photo shows how the mascara makes a big difference on your lashes, it did a really good job and didn't clump too.The small dual brush is so cute with its long and short bristles, I assumed that will works well for upper and lower lashes. A must try! And it offers different shades too, I wonder what it looks like to wear a pink mascara.

DeleteI love trying out new mascaras. I have high expectations when it comes to mascaras. It has to be waterproof, must hold the curl, must not smudge and must be very black. Haha! Up until recently, my HG mascara is the Lash King but it smudges and I'm not really please with it. I might try this out. Thanks for this post!

DeleteThis is my HG mascara before I have two to three separate and different formula mascara for me to achieve my desired volume, length and curl such a waste of money and time. Though my only complaint is that it is pain to remove!

I like this one better; They're Real is good, but its consistency is a bit thick for the sparse, thin lashes of Filipinas. :)

ReplyDeleteHmmm....I think that's inevitable as you will rub on your lashes downwards to remove the mascara; just clean up the smudges afterwards. :)
DeleteThe photos were really convincing! It really curled, lengthen and volumized your lashes! It's pricey for me but for those who can afford this, i see no reason for them not to like and buy this.
