Eclat d'Arpege and my fondest memories

Eclat d’Arpege is one of the most iconic consumer fragrances of the modern generation and has undoubtedly inspired and changed the lives of many of its users; I, for one, am a testament to this; I discovered EDA in first year high school and I could vividly remember what my reaction was the first time I caught a whiff of it; there were tons of ‘oohs’ and ‘ahhs’ followed by closed eyes and a sincere smile while I held my wrist close to my nose; it was a joyous moment as I finally found the perfect fragrance that isn’t only for me, technically, but ‘me’ in many ways: it’s feminine, cheerful, and love- inducing; it’s soft yet powerful in its own way because it’s a fragrance that reminds me of the force of love. It’s my staple perfume; in fact, I even inspired a lot of girls to try it plus my guy friends would always say that they love the scent of EDA on girls (girls, now you know!).
A few years after, EDA led me to the love of my life. I met Randy, my BF for 9 years, in a theatre play in college and in one of our conversations, he mentioned that he liked my perfume; it was EDA; from then on, a love story blossomed and it continues to do so 9 years after.

I shared this wonderful story of mine with Lanvin Philippines in a quaint meet- up over mocha balls and matcha; I couldn’t let the moment pass when they tapped me to the re-introduction of Lanvin (as if it needs one; it’s still popular in my opinion!); I always love working with the brands I love and use!

So what’s new with Lanvin? Eclat d’Arpege gets dressed up for one last time by Lanvin’s Creative Director, Albert Elbaz, before he leaves the position for good. This limited edition Eclat d’Arpege EDT is now available locally; don’t miss the chance to own this collectible fragrance.

Lanvin also unravels Eclat d’Arpege Fleurs, an EDT that translates to ‘burst of flowers’; Think of a springtime garden bottled up in a snow globe bottle and every spritz envelops you in a fragrance inspired by love and nature.

Limited edition Eclat d’Arpege and Eclat d’Fleurs are now available locally in all leading department stores.

Thanks for the fun time, Lanvin Philippines!

If you drop by SM Makati, you’ll see my memory collage there.

So I ask you, what’s your fondest memory of Eclat d’Arpege?

  1. That is a lovely story! Surely how you love that fragrance. I have stories for perfumes too! But it was my boyf's scent. When we first hugged, the scent he was wearing stucked to my nose up to my brain. Like, it was his pheromones. And I told him, i really loved it. From that on, he wears it everyday! And when he ran out of stock, I bought him one so that I could smell everyday that Edward-Cullen-line: "Your scent is like a drug to me like my own personal brand of heroin." LOL!

    1. Really? Didn't know that. My other Lanvin favorite, Jeanne, used to be a fave of Anne Curtis. :)

  7. I'm always "kinikilig" whenever i read stories such as this. I remember my husband's Paco Rabanne perfume when we were just friends. Oh, i love that scent! Ako naman, I still can't think of a perfume that characterizes me.

  9. I like eclat but I can never make myself buy it as it is not very me. My signature for year has been Chanel cristalle. That's the one I was wearing while dating my SO. Your love story is so cute and I am sure many women can relate.cheers to eclat.
