THE VERDICT:

When Sleek MakeUP started becoming popular among Filipinas years ago, i-Divine eyeshadow palette is one of the popular favorites simply because it was one of the first crazily pigmented, affordable eyeshadow palettes of its time; until now, it's a best-seller! FYI, i-Divine's eyeshadow palettes are selling like hotcakes ever since Sleek MakeUP launched in the Philippines

i-Divine's eyeshadow palette range is one of the most extensive I've seen in the drugstore category; what I have is Vintage Romance, a warm skin- flattering collection of purples.

SLEEK MAKEUP I-DIVINE EYESHADOW PALETTE IN VINTAGE ROMANCE IN DETAIL

This legendary eye shadow palette of the brand consists of 12 complementing mineral eye shadow shades to suit every occasion, mood, and trend. The collection offers 12 palettes.

The products come in a matte, plastic palette with a huge mirror (yay!) and a dual tip sponge applicator; not a huge fan of the applicator though. The eye shadows are medium- sized; it will definitely take me more than a year or two to put a dent on these pans!

Check out my swatch:

1- Pretty in Paris, shimmery metallic silver
2- Meet in Madrid, pale gold
3- Court in Cannes, chocolate Brown
4- Lust in LA, shimmery Bronze
5- Romance in Rome, shimmery blue violet
6- Propose in Prague, matte camel brown with a peach undertone

7- A Vow in Venice, shimmery midtone purple
8- Marry in Monte Carlo, frosted violet
9- Honeymoon in Hollywood, violet with hint of glitter
10- Bliss in Barcelona, shimmery dark indigo
11- Forever in Florence, purple with hint of shimmer
12- Love in London, soft black with hint of shimmer

The palette is very shimmery because it's mineral- based; I hope there are 3 or 4 mattes to balance out this palette, but at least, the shades are carefully selected to look great with each other and this makes the all too shimmery feature of this palette okay (color consistency is what makes a pure shimmer eye shadow makeup look wearable).

Pigmentation is medium to heavy, color consistency from palette to skin is true, but only for a majority of the colors (some need a primer for the color to look true), staying power is okay, but it still needs an eye primer to last the whole day.

SLEEK I-DIVINE EYE SHADOW PALETTE IN VINTAGE ROMANCE IN ACTION

Lower lids- Pretty in Paris
Above Crease- Honeymoon in Hollywood
Outer Crease- Forever in Florence
Accent on Above Crease- Propose in Prague
Lower Lash Line- Forever in Florence

How do you like this look? :D

What I like about Vintage Romance is it has a bevy of lovely purples and violets for warm skin tone, plus the silver eye shadow shade is one of the warm skin tone- friendly silvers I've seen. Sleek MakeUP i-Divine is for the serious eye shadow lover who's looking for not necessarily an affordable eye shadow palette, but a palette with a diverse color selection and great pigmentation. I just wish that there's a palette with an equal mix of mattes and shimmer; better yet, I'll just go for their pure matte i-Divine palettes!

  1. Wow! So pretty, but I don't think I can handle that palette it's too colorfull for me lol. That's why I opted for the Oh So Special palette of Sleek because it's more on the nude side.

  2. Sleek palette has always a great selection and combination of shades. I love all the shades here in vintage romance although I'm more into matte palette or combination of matte and shimmers. Still, this is a beautiful palette to have. The eye makeup of yours here is so pretty.Great look.

What a beautiful palette, the shimmers catches my eye(o_o) I like the packaging and its big mirror in it. Marry in Monte Carlo is so pretty(^.^) Its product and shade names are beautiful also.
I've seen some local shimmery eyeshadow palette in the market but I thought that some glitters of them were too big, they were actually like little diamond flecks(^.^) actually, I do like it before and find it prettier because the little girl in me loves glitter but now I'm lean towards to a subtle shimmers that are more wearable.*˙︶˙*)ノ

  17. I super love the shimmer and the pigmentation. I would love to have all Sleek's eyeshadow palettes actually. But this idivine palette is more for night use. :) Maybe the neutral ones can do for day time makeup, but generally it's more of a night makeup for me. But still, an affordable yet high quality product.

  18. Hi Ms M, I have this palette for over a year now and I love it so much, I've made a lot of looks with this palette on my teeners (mas maganda silang ayusan kasi natural beauty ang age group nila compared to mine hihi). They've worn this palette to events and they get a lot of compliments. I also have the Oh so special and Sunset, I love the Oh so special palette that I've hit pan already, it's so wearable for me considering my age (whispers I'm beyond 30). I like my shadows pigmented and Sleek is just exactly what I need. Love the review. :)

  19. Did you ever try morphe palettes? Can you compare the pigmentation of sleek with any other brand??

    1. Hi there! Haven't tried Morphe yet, but I've been meaning to. I can compare this with Urban Decay Naked, another popular eyeshadow palette I have. Naked is more buttery and Sleek is a bit drier, but both have great pigmentation. In terms of quality, Naked is better.
