Multimasking: How do you do it?

So why is every one 'Multimasking' online lately? Because a majority of women finally realized that combination skin has different requirements and the areas of skin don't always share the same concerns and problems; why put an acne- purging mask on a completely okay area of the face? This is how Multimasking is born.

Multimasking is simply using various masks all at once. The beauty of this regimen is:

1. It targets a lot of skin concerns in one go
2. It doesn't f**k up the okay areas of your face
3. It's a targeted regimen
4. It makes using masks cool again

Simple rules for Multimasking:

1. You have to have at least 2 masks
2. Your masks should address your common skin problems. Don't buy a mask that doesn't benefit you in any way.
3. Apply the masks where they are needed; make sure the product benefits and skin concerns match.
4. Leave 'em on for at least 10 minutes
5. Take selfies
6. Rinse off with water

Here are photos:

Exhibit A: Origins Multimask Regimen

In here, I used the following:

Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask: On my T-Zone because I was breaking out
Origins Original Skin Retexturizing Mask- On my cheeks because they needed exfoliation
Origins Out Of Trouble 10- Minute Mask- On the outer portion of my nose area because I have two zits there.

Exhibit B: Bobbi Brown Multimask Regimen

Bobbi Brown Instant Detox- for my Blackhead and Whitehead infested nose
Bobbi Brown Radiance Boost- on my forehead and chin because they were feeling gritty
Bobbi Brown Skin Nourish- for my cheeks because they're completely normal and I am only infusing them with moisture to maintain their good health

Can you Multimask with sheet masks? Um, you can, but that's going to be rigorous and wasteful!

Can you use more than three masks? I say overkill.

Do I really have to do this? I'm happy with a single mask. Hey, I support you with all my heart; enjoy life with your single mask.

How many times in a week should I do this? Once or twice or until your problems go away and you can settle with a universal mask (e.g. masks with hydrating, nourishing, or softening formulas).

What do you think about Multimasking? Is it "OOH" or "UGH" for you?

  1. Definitely an ooh! This looks interesting! I'm still using just 1 mask for the whole face, but recently my cheeks are becoming drier after every use. Will try a different mask for my cheeks next time. :)

  4. Ever since Origins launched in ph, i get fussed how it works to oily skin, however i also like their Clear Improvement Charcoal masks, Sensory Therapy Peace of Mind, an on-the-spot relief ointment that uses a unique blend of calming and soothing oils to relieve tension headaches and other stress-induced symptoms. Multitasking mask can be hassle to somebody but I'd love to do it once in a while to target my imperfections.

    1. Agree. I don't even do Multimasking often; just once a month or when I feel like it. :D

  5. Definitely an OOH for me! My oily t-zone requires a different mask from my dry cheeks. I remember using an anti-acne toner on my whole face and end up with clear t-zone but extremely dry, flaking cheeks. My face will thank me and you, Ms. Martha for this 😙

  8. One mask is enough for me, I guess. It's costly to use a lot at once. :)

    1. You don't have to buy a really expensive mask to do multimasking. Etude House and Tony Moly offer good masks at an affordable price. :)

  15. It's an OHHH for me. I haven't tried multimasking because I use a single face mask but I think it's a great idea. Just like what you said why f**k up other areas of your face. Hihi. I also love the 5th step which is to take selfie while wearing the mask. Haha. It is definitely a must nowadays! I would love to try that Bobby Brown Instant Detox because blackheads and whiteheads are my main problems. Til your next poat Ms. Martha! *kiss*
