 THE VERDICT:

What's all the fuss with Airbrush? Why are people so into it? To refresh you, Airbrush is a foundation technique that involves spraying the foundation all over the skin using a gun and machine to create a natural- looking, dewy effect without sacrificing coverage. I've friends who love airbrush makeup because they said it makes skin look really, really good and you have to experience it to know what they're talking about.

Of course Airbrush can be costly, not to mention I believe there are artists who are trained to do airbrush makeup, therefore it's not just something that you can do without prior research, a bit of investment, and study; too rigorous!

If you don't have budget for or access to Airbrush makeup, Revlon Photoready Airbrush Effect Foundation can be a good alternative because aside from giving skin a dewy finish, it looks quite natural and smooths out pores nicely too!

REVLON PHOTOREADY AIRBRUSH EFFECT FOUNDATION IN NATURAL BEIGE 005 IN DETAIL

This foundation features Light- Filtering Technology that helps deliver a poreless, airbrushed look while soft focus pigments help deliver a luminous finish. It comes in 12 shades.

Consistency is gel cream and has a slightly bouncy, fresh texture; it feels really light on the skin and gets absorbed fast. Natural Beige is a shade darker than me and the Pink undertone is off for my skin tone though.

REVLON PHOTOREADY AIRBRUSH EFFECT FOUNDATION IN ACTION

Bare skin

Skin with one layer of the foundation

Fresh, dewy, and bright; these are the nice effects that I got from this foundation. The Light- Filtering Technology works by radiating light to help blur out pores.

Airbrush makeup is supposed to look almost skin- like, but must provide great coverage; is this foundation true to that? With the look, check, it looks natural and almost skin- like, but not really with the coverage; as you can see, I have boo-boos peeping through; pigmentation is light to medium and this foundation will not be able to conceal graver skin discolorations and problems.

Staying power is so-so though so you have to retouch it often during wear. That said, it's just a nice daily foundation, especially on days when you want to have naturally nice skin and on chill days when you just want to wear a basic foundation with nice coverage and light feel. Is it an alternative to Airbrush? Not really, but at least it somewhat gives you a glimpse of what Airbrush can do for your skin.

  2. Wish ko talaga magpa airbrush makeup but it's pricey for me. Sana on my 25'th wedding anniversary ma-afford ko na yun
The foundation doesn't look close to an airbrush makeup but i guess it's nice to wear for summer.

  3. Ang ganda ng effect but I think kaya din siya ng ibang liquid foundation?. Hihi. I haven't tried Revlon foundations so I don't much insight about them. Hehe. Thanks again for the choosing me as your COM for February, Ms. Martha. I'm currently on a midnight shift and then pagkakita ko sa name at mukha ko sa winner, nagising lahat ng senses ko. Hahaha. I love you tooo bits! :*

First learned about Airbrush Foundation with Ms.Solemn Heusaff,I forgot what program it is and Yes,I really think you are right Ms.Martha,Airbrush is not as easy as like applying my liquid foundation and I have to study something about it para tama ang pagkakalagay pero dahil I'm always on the go mom so I usually chose makeups that are easy to apply,I'm loving my liquid foundation which was my husband's gift in our 4th year anniversary.

  6. How does it compare to L'Oréal's True Match Foundation? I'm looking for a new foundation because I was disappointed when I learned they changed the True Match formulation :( I'm hoping this will be my new HG foundation.

    1. Consistency and coverage; true match is more moisturizing and has better color options. :) I haven't tried the original true match, but the new one, I'm loving now. I also like True Match L'Teint. :)

  9. Nagsearch ako ng ibang reviews tungkol dito, at karamihan di nila to nagustuhan. Eto yung mga reasons, Doesn't stay on, heavy, poor coverage, difficult to apply, too greasy. At kung gusto mo matte finish, di daw talaga to pwede.

  10. I have this. I agree that its not long lasting but I still like it for it is lightweight. Lately, I want to wear foundation with dewy finish or semi matte for a change:)

  11. I like the fact that is light weight for me because I don't really like foundations that I can feel on my skin but definitely its just for everyday
    not for events.

  14. I have this one and I have same comments and feels as you. Well, who doesn't want to be photoready??? Kaso I think this is not the answer though. Airbrush is good of course kaso I think it is high maintenance and not easy for touch ups? (Well, that's ehat my MUA friend told me) hihi. Thanks for the review Ms. Martha will share this to my friends para makapag decide sila if they still want to try the product! :)

  16. Hi, Ms. Martha! I often see "From: Free" in your blog posts. This confuses me because I couldn't figure out whether you got the item as a free sample or "Free" is a store's name. I would appreciate it if you could enlighten me about this. Thanks!
