What's in my travel makeup and skin care kits?

I am bound for Ilocos next week for that much- needed vacation and I am DEATHLY excited for it; I need some sand and sea on my skin and in my hair!

This much- anticipated trip led me to writing this blog post. Wondering which beauty and skin care products I bring with me to my travels? Here are my staples:

MAKEUP

For makeup, I keep it simple and waterproof; I always bring my trusted Shiseido Sunblock/Foundation, Benetint, and K-Palette Real Lasting 2 Way Eyebrow pencils with me; of course I gotta contour so I bring one; my most preferred is Pixi by Petra Natural Contour powder because it's light, long- wearing, and has skin- loving plant extracts. For mascara, I swear by L'Oreal False Lash mascara! For primer, I have a lot of brands, but my newly- discovered lightweight, hydrating primer by Benefit called The Porefessional Matte Rescue Matte Gel is a recent favorite of mine.

SKIN CARE

I've never appreciated travel- sized samples until I started traveling; these versions allow me to bring my entire skin care collection with me!

For the face, I always have an eye cream, night cream, day moisturizer, cleansing oil and sometimes, an eye makeup remover; a cleansing oil is necessary for me because I always wear long- wearing/waterproof makeup when traveling. I bring a lip balm too because it is my practice to moisturize my lips before sleeping #DryLipGirlProblems.

For the body, I just bring my own deodorant, body wash, shaver, lip balm, alcohol, and my can't-live-without-hair oil.

So that's my traveling makeup and skin care kit! Care to share yours? :)

Pagudpud, Paoay Sand Dunes, Paoay Church, Kapurpurawan Rock Formation, Lighthouse, Banggui Windmills, Kabigan Falls, Blue Lagoon, Patapat Bridge, Heritage Street, here I cooooomeeee! :D

  3. I envy the fact that you only brought these product while here I am (no travel plans) but I always bring almost that much of stuff everyday. HAHA. I cannot imagine how big my bag be if ever I travel. I always bring my cc cushion from The Face SHop, hand sanitizer, eyebrow kit from L'oreal, bandages, hand cream, comb, l'oreal powder (forgot the name), contour palette from city colors, soothing gel and a handful of tissues and wipes... that is for my everyday essentials. LOL.

  6. Love everything that's in your travel bag. Sunscreen is important for me too, and it has improved my skin since I started using one, no prickly heat at all, especially when the folds in my arms starts to sweat.Good luck to your Ilocos trip!

  8. You use insect repellent patches pala?! I can say that you're not much of a big packer. You got only the essentials. Me, i tend to overpack. I'll bring our fridge if i can only carry it, haha! I've read a lot of raves about that Shiseido sunblock but i still haven't tried it yet. I'm now thinking of getting a lip and cheek tint just like yours. Thanks for sharing with us your travelling makeup and skincare must-haves. Enjoy your summer adventure, Ms. Martha! We can't wait to see your photos!

    1. I used to be an overpacker (I still am on some trips) and I've learned to downsize over time. Shopping is my motivation haha.

  9. I don't usually like to travel especially when it's summer. Coz I'm afraid to get darker, you know these days a lot of people based a person's beauty to skin tone. Hay! But I wear something that contains SPF 20 and I just bring umbrella because I don't usually put sunscreen or sunblocks on my skin. Lazy girl here!

  11. During our recent trip to Sagada, i had to bring 2 small kikay kit for my stuff, one for skincare and one for makeup.i can barely fit everything inside! Haha! good thing i have some small containers so I just transferred some of my skincare products to save on space.
And, my recent travel makes me appreciate the cushion foundations more. Its an all in one product (primer, moisturizer, sunblock ,concealer and foundation) rolled into one cute compact (mine was the missha moist variant with the ducky design) . It was perfect for the weather!

Our next travel would be in Puerto Galera. And im excited to pack because ive got some new skincare products im dying to try :)

    1. That's true! I also appreciate Shiseido's sunblock because it's primer, foundation, and sunblock in one product. :)

      Enjoy Puerto Galera! :D
