THE VERDICT:
I may not like the rainy season too much because it always rains on my parade (PUNny!), but I do like the fact that it's a great opportunity to begin sporting softer, pastel, vintage colors both for fashion and makeup; Maybelline ushers in the stylish rainy season with a range of romantic nudes and neutrals called Color Sensational Rosy Mattes; swatching them below!

Color Sensational Rosy Mattes features five neutrals and nudes with a predominant rose undertone; formula features Honeysuckle extracts that keep lips hydrated and smooth during wear.

Apricot Beige
- a muted Apricot with a hint of Beige.
Apricot Beige is a lovely shade, although it demands a smooth lip surface to look impeccable; sigh, I like the shade, but it highlights dry patches big time!
Natural Beige
- A pale beige rose.
Rosy Peach
- a vintage rose with a hint of peach.
One of the pretty shades in this collection; Rosy Peach is as pretty and fresh as a rain- kissed flower garden!
Salmon Pink
- A pale Salmon with a hint of Pink.
This shade, surprisingly, looks good on warm skin tone! What a pretty peachy nude, although just like Apricot Beige, it highlights dry areas big time!
Soft Pink
- a soft pink with a hint of lilac.
My other favorite next to Rosy Peach; this muted Pink is so pretty and feminine, and perfect from working weekdays to lazy weekends.
Color Sensational Matte lipsticks yield a demi- matte finish; they're not truly matte; I guess this is the perfect matte to begin with for teens; pigmentation is medium to heavy and it gets wiped off easily so it has to be retouched for a couple of times during wear, but at least it is not drying. Rosy Mattes is priced just right and I love that the shades are quite universal and never tacky; I just wish that the other shades don't highlight dry areas, but nevertheless, this is an okay product and perfect for beauties on a budget who want to sport nude rosy lips for this season.

Honestly, I'm not diggin' this collection. It's a little to pale for my liking. The lipstick has too much white on it which is understandable because I think they were aiming on making pastel colored lipsticks. I'd still stick to their original creamy matte lipsticks!

DeleteI like the salmon pink. It looks good on you, too. I wanna buy it for me. Looks perfect for everyday wearing. I think I just need to make sure my lips are hydrated and not dry before application.

DeleteI love Maybelline lippies. Budget friendly and yet quality of the product is there. Salmon Pink and Rose Pink look good on you Ms. M. While I go for Apricot Beige and Salmon Pink. If the other shades highlight dryness of the lips I hope they can reformulate and improve the product.

DeleteWent to maybelline counters kanina, kasi 200 pesos lang sya from June 13- june 19 ata? Not really sure. I've swatched them all sa lips ko... Pinipilit ko na may magustuhan ako at bilin, pero wala huhu di talaga sakin bagay mga ganyan nudes, nawawash off fez ko haha. And ung eyebags ko prang lalonh pansin i know malayo sa lips, pero when im wearing mauve, red, darker lippy di naman ganun. Pero pag ganyang mga nude pink, nude beige, may hint ng orange, pink lipsticks, they're not meant for me! Huhu 😭😭😭😭😭 So jealous, you're also a morena pero all the shades looks good on you Ms. Martha, especially the salmon pink! 😂❤️💖
