THE VERDICT:
I have this regimen that I call “SKIN DETOX” – I simplify my skin care routine by cutting down on the products I use, going back to the most basic regimen, and even choosing the simplest, gentlest products possible. I do it for a week one month after I finish with a current, complicated skin care routine and products; it’s my way of giving my skin a break. My staple cleanser in my SKIN DETOX regimen is Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser; it’s been a staple of my family ever since and I find that it’s the mildest, simplest facial cleanser there is, making it a perfect component of my Skin Detox regimen.

CETAPHIL GENTLE SKIN CLEANSER IN DETAIL

This award- winning, global best- selling cleanser gently cleanses the skin, getting rid of grime, oil, and makeup without harming the skin and stripping off its essential moisture. It’s non-comedogenic, suitable for all skin types even for those with sensitive skin, and respects the skin’s natural barrier and function by having only the gentlest ingredients.

CETAPHIL GENTLE SKIN CLEANSER IN ACTION

This product has a light, milky consistency; it is soap- free, therefore it won’t dry the skin; in fact, it creates a moisturizing environment for the skin when you use it. It rinses off easily and gets rid of makeup, but waterproof makeup needs to be loosened up by oil first.

Cetaphil’s Skin Cleanser may be gentle, but it works in giving my skin that much needed clean after each day that’s why not only do I use this product during Skin Detox days, but also on days when I feel like my skin is being compromised by whatever facial cleanser I am using or if I desire for mild (but effective!) cleansing. Before, I am of the belief that if it bubbles, it works, but my long term usage with Cetaphil’s Skin Cleanser has proven that this is not always the case - if it has a tried and tested formula and quality ingredients, it works!

Cetaphil Skin Cleanser has been and will always be my partner during Skin Detox days because it is simple and effective, from its formula down to its claims.

I mentioned that my family and I have been using Cetaphil Skin Cleanser since time immemorial and these are just the many ways we use it:

1. We use it as body wash; I myself particularly use it when I’m having a Dermatitis attack on my neck area.

2. We use it to cleanse itchy skin because it doesn’t aggravate the itch; instead, it provides a moisturizing barrier, minimizing the itch.

3. When my grandmother was still alive, we used it as a cleanser for her body and as a protectant for her cold sores when became bedridden (missing you, granny!)

  1. My brother before used cetaphil as his body wash. He has bery sensitive skin thats why his Pedia recommended Cetaphil to use as his soap / body wash. I can say that Cetaphil is really good in taking care of our skin. It is suitable for all ages. No itchiness, not drying and it moisturize our skin too.

  2. I used Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser to my baby when she had a cradle cap. One week of using it, nawala na ang cradle cap niya. And we continue to use it until now that she's one year old. Sabi ko nga, sige na last baby na to, ung the best na ang gamitin kahit na normal skin naman siya. Hehehe. Moisturizing kase tsaka madaling mabanlawan, wala kaseng bula. Sometimes, I used it also to cleanse my face at ang lambot lambot ng mukha ko. Kutis baby. Hehehe.

  4. Way back in college, one of my friend loves using Cetaphil products but I always thought it to be one of the most expensive brand so I always love having girl's night "in" (coz we are inside their boarding house) doing crazy stuff over the weekend then we'll have to take a shower at night and bath the next morning, I always get this friend of mine's bath products because it includes Cetaphil products which I really really love :)

  6. Cetaphil was the only cleanser which was mild enough not to irritate my mom and sister's skin. My mom has psoriasis and my sister has skin asthma, and they both have very sensitive skin. Cetaphil products are staples in our household. Aside from their cleanser, we also use their moisturizing cream. :) Although I like its performance, I don't use Cetaphil as much because I feel like it might be a tad too gentle on my skin. I still use it occasionally though, but I use other brands more often. :)

  13. I'm very disappointed with this wash. I was previously using the Cetaphil Cleanser (purchased from Costco) but didn't feel like it was strong enough to clear up my face. I now use the Citrus Clear Acne Face Wash and for the first 3 uses, my skin felt so clean, especially after the very first use. The second night, even better. Its not strong like proactiv, which makes my skin so dry - its just perfect for someone who has acne like me, cause it keeps the zits away, and got rid of the existing ones that I had.

  14. How do i use it on face?
Hehe. Thank you po.
