I've been binge listening to the legendary Ella Fitzgerald all week; what an amazing singer and she definitely has the most soothing voice in the world! For starters, listen to Someone To Watch Over Me!
How about you? What have you been listening to lately? Before that, here's our Fan Mail Fridays today from Charissa:
Hi Martha,
Can you please write about your favorite Asian beauty brands? Thank you!
Charissa
Hi Charissa,
Thanks for writing to me! When it comes to Asian products, I do like a lot; when it comes to brands, here are the few ones I swear by:
SHISEIDO
- My most favorite Asian beauty brand; from skin care to makeup, everything that they make is great!
K-PALETTE
K-Palette has proven to me so many times that they have some of the best eye brow pencils around, thus it's my most preferred Asian brand of eye brow products.
TONY MOLY
- Tony Moly is a brand with great skin care! Definitely one of my favorite Asian brands of skin care!
ETUDE HOUSE
- Etude House's feel- good, affordable makeup products prove that quality doesn't have to cost you a lot; some of my faves are their sheet masks.
HAPPY SKIN
- A Filipino makeup brand that makes me proud; their world class standards makes them at par with some of the best Asian beauty brands in the market.
BIORE
- When it comes to makeup removal, Biore means business; it's now one of my go- to Asian makeup remover brands.
CELETEQUE
- Celeteque proves that quality skin care should be within reach and it can be made in the Philippines too.
PIXY
- Pixy has the best most affordable powder foundation in my opinion; sadly, it's now unavailable locally; I hope it will return soon!
That's all and have an amazing Friday, everyone!

Thanks for sharing Ms Martha. I'm especially proud that Pinoy brands are stepping up when it comes to producing makeup and skincare stuff.
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks too Ms. Charissa for asking!
I'm totally wrecked when pixy pulled out :(
ReplyDeleteShiseido is definitely a brand to look out for because they are great at everything! It's the first on my list of brands I will definitely splurge on when I get a job in the future! A lot of Korean brands are also on my Asian favorites, and I'm particularly fond of Etude House, The Face Shop, and Tony Moly! They are brands endorsed by my favorite Korean singers and actors and it's on of they features that make them so attractive for me, aside from their excellent products! Locally I'm also a fan of Happy Skin and Pink Sugar! These are two brands which are relatively new but have proven that they have what it takes to stay in the market for a long time. :)
ReplyDeleteAmong the list, Celeteque & Biore are the only ones I tried. Hahaha. I love Celeteque's products because of its affordability and effects on my skin ♥

I LOVE Ella's rendition of that song. It's my favorite, too!
ReplyDeleteI love Happy Skin's and Etude's packaging. Proves that not all makeup has to look boring in basic black.
I also love Etude House, Tony Moly and Happy Skin products... I can't to try Shiseido and Biore soon!
ReplyDeleteI can still remember how I adore Celeteque and Etude House way back my college years.
ReplyDeleteI wish someday I can splurge on Shiseido I've been wanting to try their skincare products.
Let me know what you think of this post! :)
