THE VERDICT:
I love anything vintage, especially those that have cameos, brocade, and anything that echoed the fabulous Victorian era; that's why I've been dying to get my hands on Laduree's Les Merveilleuses Laduree. Laduree, to those who are not familiar with the brand, is a famous French patisserie known for their macarons; they've expanded to candles, trinkets, and cosmetics, hoping to inspire an affluent lifestyle that is simply Laduree. And just as expected, their cosmetics are as sweet and lovable as their macarons (which I love too, by the way).
I picked up two of their makeups at their La Foret, Harajuku store in my recent trip to Japan. I got a blush and this, Glossy Rouge in the shade 01; it's a pigmented glossy lipstick; just the way I like it!
Glossy Rouge promises to dress lips in glowing color; available in 07 feminine shades.
All the shades are available in Japan. However, I find the colors too pale and selections too pink and peach. The brand is weak in the shade selection department, but at least they thought of throwing in a dark shade, which is 01.
Packaging is delicately designed and I like how it adds a touch of pretty in my makeup kit and dresser.
LES MERVEILLEUSES LADUREE GLOSSY ROUGE IN 01 IN ACTION
01 is a deep rose shade with a silver glaze; at first, I thought it was a dark pink on the hand swatch, but it revealed its unique color when I finally tried it on my lips.
This is my idea of a glossy lipstick: glossy- looking yet pigmented and doesn't slide around; staying power is pretty good and it survived a plate of ice cream creation over at Freezer Burn (a favorite hang out place of mine at BGC lately). It doesn't dry out my lips and the color fades nicely too and texture is pretty moisturizing.
To be honest, it's a lil' pricey for a lipstick and there are dupes out there for its texture, but I'm still happy to know that it has a pretty good quality overall; and also, that's just me, some makeup- crazed girl who's willing to shell out money for luxury makeup and pretty packaging haha!

ReplyDeleteAng pretty ng packaging. Sobrang mahal pero may reason kung bakit pricey.
ReplyDeleteNo one can resist with this Les Merveilleuses Laduree Glossy Rouge. Super cute and girly packaging. Kala ko tuloy, pumunta ka na ng France. Sa Japan mo pala to binili. The shade fits you. I like the glossy and color of this lipstick. Your pretty here Ms. Martha, any color naman bagay sayo eh.
ReplyDeleteThis lipstick shade is gorgeous on you! It has a really elegant feel to it! :) I'm personally more drawn to these deeper rose-red shades nowadays, I don't know if it's the weather or my inner bad girl. The packaging is lovely! It reminds me of some Etude House lipsticks. They have bullet tubes similar to this one. :) What dupes for this color would you recommend? I'm more of a cream or matte finish girl, but this particular finish and color are swaying me to look the other way!
ReplyDeleteIt's a pretty color naman ah!... the packaging is nice pero mahal ng lippie nato!
