Here's a review on Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Limon Verde EDT.

THE VERDICT:
Sometimes, I wanna smell fresh, but the kind of freshness that is chic; I still want it to have that summery, light- hearted vibe, but I don't want to smell like grass or any boring, plain citrusy or fruity scent. Guerlain Aqua Allegoria is the perfect fit; owning an Aqua Allegoria scent has been a dream for so long now and thankfully, I finally have one. For my first Aqua Allergoria, I chose Limon Verde; it was a close fight between this and Herba Fresca, but Limon Verde's refreshing, sunlit fragrance just caught my heart!
GUERLAIN AQUA ALLEGORIA LIMON VERDE EDT IN DETAIL
Aqua Allegoria is Guerlain's collection of light, refreshing, summer fragrances, inspired by raw materials and nature. Limon Verde, according to Guerlain, is to "savor a Caipirinha under the lemon trees along the Amazon River."
Top note is bursting with lemon, middle is dominated by green notes, tropical fruit, sugar cane, and fig, which stands out along with the green notes, and base has tonka bean; it smells fresh all throughout; there's not much development in the fragrance so it's best for you if you want an authentic fresh perfume; the whole fragrance actually reminds me of Mojito!
Guerlain said that the scent gives the feeling of sipping cocktail along a river, but to me, it's like a petite, sunlit lemon garden; succulent, bright, inviting, and uplifting. The bottle reminds me of a bee hive and gave the fragrance an even more summery, natural appeal.
Staying power is pretty good for an EDT; it stays on for around 3 hours on me. A lot would always ask about the perfume I'm wearing if I'm wearing this one!
Limon Verde is definitely a good choice; it's a fresh, chic fragrance! I'd love to try the rest of the Aqua Allegoria fragrances.

Love the packaging! Im into "yayamaninh amoy" rin po talaga. As parang feeling ko Im so expensive hahaha! Maamoy palang you know na it is expensive talaga.
ReplyDeleteI also personally prefer fresh scents which remind you of summer or spring, that's why I go for usually floral or citrusy scents. The problem is there isn't much depth to the scents within my budget range. They all smell like one thing, like just one kind of flower or one kind of fruit! It's great to hear that Guerlain can give you a different kind of experience with their scents. :) I've only recently discovered the differences between Eau de Cologne, Eau de Toilette, and Eau de Parfum! What's your preference Ms. Martha? :) I'm more of a cologne person as of the moment, but I'm hoping to invest into EDTs and perfumes in the future! :)

ReplyDeleteThis is an interesting scent, hope I could smell it :P budget ko for a scent is 1000 below lang hehe I can't afford this type... lucky you, you get this chance to own amazing scents, di ba hilig mo din perfumes aside from makeup? the bottle is so nice!
ReplyDeleteI like the packaging. It resemble a chic bird cage and honey bees wax. I wish I can smell this perfume. I believe words are not enough to justify the scent. :)
