THE VERDICT:
Recently, I've seen videos of Hanson's reunion concert as well as Backstreet Boys on Facebook. Chokers are becoming a thing once more and denim overalls have been resurrected. Rubber shoes are the new heels and brown lipsticks are back with a vengeance. Have traveled back through time? Because the 90's are back! Maybelline's resurrecting the brown lipstick trend with the new Color Sensational Creamy Matte Brown Collection - I think this is my most favorite Color Sensational collection to date!
MAYBELLINE COLOR SENSATIONAL CREAMY MATTE LIPSTICK IN DETAIL
Creamy Matte Browns come with a semi- transparent brown cover. I've noticed that there has been a change in Maybelline's matte lipsticks and it's a change for the better- these are more pigmented, less slippery, payoff is more matte, and surprisingly stay put longer.

Soft peach-beige nude.
Clay Crush is a flattering nude that doesn't wash out skin tones. It's a nude that can be worn during daytime and even to work!
BURGUNDY BLUSH
Burgundy brown.
Burgundy Blush perfectly channels your inner Scary Spice! The reddish tone in this shade makes it an 'approachable' kind of vampy lip color.
NUDE NUANCE
Dirty brown.
Nude Nuance is the most famous among all the shades and my personal favorite; it's the perfect everyday 90's brown for me; it's a shade that's casual and chic, something that I can wear everyday - wait, I'm wearing it everyday!

ReplyDeleteIt looks like what I have right now, the packaging is the same and it's maybelline but it came from Canada, a gift from my boyfriend's aunt way back December 2014. It's name is nude lust and I love it because it smells so good like vanilla and cocoa and it's just natural. I don't know if this is matte or what but I love this so much :)

ReplyDeleteThose lippies are to die for! I can't wait to get my hands on them! I will definitely buy all those shades soon! By the way, it's quite interesting how each shade made you look different. It's like the each shade is giving you a different persona. From a prim and proper (clay crush) to an edgy look (burgundy blush). :)
ReplyDeleteOhhh, Clay Crush is surprisingly good on your skintone! I thought it would wash most people out because it is a lot lighter compared to the more versatile shades in this collection. I don't think it will work for me though, these kinds of lipsticks always translate as orange on my lips! I look like I have a kissy lips filter on, or maybe I just finished a bag of cheetos! :) Nude Nuance is my favorite among everything else in this release! It's very very similar to Touch of Spice pala, pero yung Nude Nuance brown undertones ang dominant, compared sa Touch of Spice na medyo mauve. :) Not brave enough to wear Burgundy Blush yet! Does it bleed? Yun yung takot ko sa dark lipsticks, minsan they create a red ring around your lips and it doesn't look flattering anymore. :( Overall, really impressed by Maybelline's Creamy Mattes line! I think it's the best formulation they have available. :) Thumbs up to them! :)
ReplyDeleteI first saw these from Kathleenlights months ago and been lusting over Nude Nuance since. I was very happy when they announced that they're bringing these shades here in the Philippines, so I immediately ordered mine online LOL. Nude Nuance, no wonder, is everyone's favorite - it goes well on a lot of skin tone and it's also a good dupe of MAC Whirl.
