Here's a review on Mary Kay Lash Intensity Mascara, Eyebrow Pencil, and Eyeliner.

THE VERDICT:
When I receive eye makeup sets for review, I usually like one or two products from the loot, but rarely do I get to like everything, except this time. Mary Kay sent me their newest products for review and I like them all! With these products, I am reminded once again that the sheer simplicity, ease of use, and efficacy of makeup products are just what you need to to achieve your best look everyday!
MARY KAY LASH INTENSITY MASCARA, EYEBROW PENCIL, AND EYELINER IN DETAIL
Lash Intensity Mascara promises to magnify, multiply, and maximize the look of your lashes, while the mineral- rich pigment formula promises to darken and define lash strands. Brow Definer Pencil is a creamy, classic brow shaper and definer in a waterproof formula and comes in 3 shades. Eyeliner is a traditional, retractable pencil in a creamy formula enriched with antioxidants, and comes in 3 shades.
Ingredients
Lash Intensity only comes in the shade Black and Special Double- Impact wand claims to deposit mascara gradually yet continuously as you comb through your lashes, which I find to be true. Brow Definer and Eyeliner have a soft tip so there's none of the rough, scratchy feeling.
The eyeliner has a creamy texture with intense pigmentation and satin to matte finish. Brow Definer is semi- creamy and quite spreadable; the shade I got is Brunette and it's a medium brown with a light reddish undertone.

Brow Definer on my brows
This one's generally easy to use, but quite pigmented for my liking so I use a light hand on it. It's great for creating a full brow though and it can withstand a sweaty workout.
Eyeliner on my upper lash line
The eyeliner colors easily with zero scratching and I only need about two layers to define my lash line. It doesn't exactly say that it's waterproof, but it can last the whole day with zero smudging.
2 coats of mascara
Normally, I use 3 coats of mascara to achieve this volumized, lengthened effect, but it only takes me 2 every time I use this mascara. The wand is pretty big though for my eyes and I use it with care so as not to smudge mascara on my under eyes and lids. But the bristle- packed wand effectively delivers the product to my lashes; I really see that my strands get thicker in every stroke. It can withstand a light workout with very minimal smudging. This is a pretty great mascara!
Overall, this is a great basic eye makeup essentials collection. Really looking forward to repurchasing the mascara!

In fairness to the Mary Kay brand, they have evolved so much. They continue to keep up with the needs of the modern woman. 😊 I like the mascara in this review. Parang di siya nagcclump and the finish is just nice. Thanks Miss Martha! 😊
ReplyDeleteI like the brow definer's color! I thought it would be more taupe though, but it translated differently on the skin. It still is a very nice shade to fill brows with for people with dark hair. I have mixed feelings about the mascara though. It's as if the curls didn't hold, and the lashes took on a fanned out look anyway. It might just be my preference, and the mascara might work better over time when it dries slightly. :) I have trouble reaching Mary Kay dealers even if I'n in Metro Manila already. I hope they make online shopping another option, like Avon already has. :) They're a great brand, but they aren't as raved as they should be because they have low visibility! :(

ReplyDeleteI usually don't like sets also, I share the same dilemma na I won't like them all! but with this set you shared, the products would definitely work and love the brow definer! True yung sinabi ni Emily Gatus na unreachable yung mga Mary Kay dealers, sana nga they'll put up an online store :)

ReplyDeleteThe brow definer seems to be good . I just wish it had more of a lighter, grayish shade to make it look more natural. As for the mascara, it reminds of Benefit Roller Lash effect on my lashes. I prefer Bobbi Brown mascara or Maybelline Falsies for a nice waterproof and more natural looking lashes
