THE VERDICT:
Love mineral bases, but wish they came in a more compact, mess- free form? Here's one from Poise called Mineral Pressed Powder. This is a solid, mineral pressed powder with good quality and coverage!
POISE MINERAL PRESSED POWDER IN MPP 30 IN DETAIL
Ingredients
Product comes in a sleek black compact with a surprisingly very thin sponge; it's almost as thin as paper and I can't really grasp why it's built like that; it slips off my hand and I don't see and feel that it's doing anything unique when it comes to delivering coverage so I think it's better if it came with a regular puff.
MPP 30 is a medium beige shade with a yellow undertone. It practically suits my skin tone. Pigmentation is good, texture is soft and easy to spread out, and coverage is light to medium.
POISE MINERAL PRESSED POWDER IN MPP 30 IN ACTION
Face with liquid foundation
Foundation set with pressed powder
The powder has an airy finish, thus I use it to knock color back onto my skin after setting with translucent powder; I also use this to set liquid bases on its own if the latter is a shade lighter than my skin tone. The slightly creamy texture of the powder provides a smoothing finish too. However, it has very minimal oil control so if you have to use it with primer and a mattifying powder if you have oily skin.
This is a nice correcting/finishing powder and the mineral formulation is a plus factor, making it generally okay to use by any skin type. I just wish it were more accessible and a bit more affordable!

It's always on your blog that I get to know different sorts of make up product. You're so brave to try almost everything.
ReplyDeleteI Thought this is a powder foundation. any recommendation for combination- oily face na pressed powder foundation?
ReplyDeleteMasyadong mahal para sa pressed powder.
ReplyDeleteThe coverage is so fine! I love it! <3
ReplyDeleteOhhh, I love their bullet lipsticks and it's great to hear that they have other promising products too! :) I like this powder's color! It reminds me of Avon's Ideal Oil Control pressed powder in Oriental, which is my current favorite. It's a tad it dark on me, but it does a great job at evening out my skintone, and I use this to set my lighter face bases as well. Too bad Poise's formula isn't good for oil control :(
ReplyDeletetrue, price is a bit steep... there are now a lot of mineral powders that offers affordable prices plus its of good quality pa!
ReplyDeleteIt's quite pricey for me and I've never really heard of the brand before. For a mineral makeup, it is more compact and looks definitely hassle-free than the usual packaging. I like the coverage.
ReplyDeletedid it make you breakout?
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to have but I think I'll just stick with Ellana for the meantime for my mineral makeup needs. :D I'll just put this in my makeup list first. :D
ReplyDeleteLet me know what you think of this post! :)
