THE VERDICT:

Face Mix is a makeup range by Tony Moly that I really like because of their no- nonsense products that satisfy two things I want in my makeup: coverage and good for oily skin. They just released primers lately and I got Face Mix Smooth Primer, a smoothing primer that helps you achieve flawless, pore- free coverage!

TONY MOLY FACE MIX SMOOTH PRIMER IN DETAIL

A smoothing face primer that helps hide pores and keeps skin matte with Sebum Catch Powder while providing a non- heavy, moisturizing feel.

Smooth Primer has a silicone and dimethicone base, but surprisingly, it doesn't feel that heavy and clogging on the skin. As for the moisturizing claim, true enough, it does impart a bit of moisture! The primer has a slightly strong floral scent that helps mask the odor of oil. I like the scent and it goes away when I finally apply the rest of my makeup anyway.

TONY MOLY FACE MIX SMOOTH PRIMER IN ACTION

Freshly- applied makeup with the primer

Wow! This baby really does smooth the face effectively! I'm using harsh light here and look, ma, no pores!

After 6 hours

I'd like to note that I used a long- wearing foundation here that helped the primer keep oil at bay, but I'd like to credit the primer for keeping my face smooth and virtually flawless, especially on my forehead, the part of my face that has already seen the years.

It's a very good not to mention, affordable product to keep your face smooth throughout the day; oil control is decent so I would recommend this to combination oily/normal skin types. Really happy for discovering this affordable primer and I'd surely repurchase!

  3. I think Korean K-products usually have poor oil control properties because they generally prefer dewy skin. I like Tony Moly's primers because they have awesome smoothening and pore-filling properties! I hope they step up their oil-control game too because that would be a game-changer! :)

  6. Wow, I'm really impressed. :) It's affordable pa. I'm switching between maybelline baby pore and benefit primer. But I think I'll try this one too! Love the finish too.
