 THE VERDICT:

Smashbox Halo Powder is probably one of the coolest powder packaging's I've ever seen: it keeps the rest of the powder fresh and in just a few turns, you're given the amount of powder you need, cheese grating style. :D Celeteque came up with their own version called CC Microhydrating Powder, which I'm going to review today.

CELETEQUE DERMOCOSMETICS CC MICRO-HYDRATING POWDER IN DEEP BEIGE IN DETAIL

An ultra fine and hydrating powder that promises to control shine while evening out the complexion. It has SPF 30 for protection and comes in the shades Light Porcelain, Classic Natural, and Deep Beige.

Ingredients

Packaging is exactly like Smashbox Halo Powder; it feels sturdy and the grater moves quite smoothly. The puff is soft and smooth, and works well with the powder.

Skin with BB Cream

BB Cream set with Celeteque Micro Hydrating Powder

The powder has a soft, smooth, semi- creamy texture. Not really great for setting liquid bases, but worn on its own, it's more effective as it clung to the skin quickly and effectively. Pigmentation is light to medium and coverage is soft matte.

My shade is Deep Beige; it looked pretty dark on my skin tone because of the olive undertone. I think I could go for Classic Natural.

I like the light. non- chalky finish of this one, thanks to the semi- creamy texture. It yields additional coverage too, so plus point for me and my moderate skin pigmentation; it mattifies skin, but doesn't really control oil that long; around 1-2 hours max.

Celeteque Dermocosmetics CC Hydrating Powder is great for those with dry skin and big powder wearers because really, it's best worn on its own, plus the powder melds onto the skin nicely.

Have you tried this product? What are your thoughts?

  1. It looks dewy on your face Ms. M! :) But I was hesitant to try it because it is somewhat pricey for a cushion-like-powder. Does it have other benefits like pimple fighting or anti aging? Some cushions have that benefits kase other than being a hydrating make up. Nonetheless, its good to know that they have color shade variations to choose. The packaging looks very sturdy as what you've said and looks pretty on you too (IDK if its really the product or youre just pretty lang talaga hehe <3). Anyways, I hope the celeteque in the department store near us will have a tester for this. Thinking which is better if this one or the maybelline? :) Thanks for sharing Ms. M! :)

  2. I haven't tried any Celeteque cosmetics yet. This is a No No for me..I do have an oily face. The oil control of this is not good. Maybe, I'll stay away from this and try their other products.

  3. Most of the time when I use creams that's only thing I put on my face I don't wear much of foundations or powders or bb creams just a regular cream you wear at night and morning that's it kasi if I think it'z heavy and oily. Hahaha.

  6. I haven't tried this one yet and I'm scared to. I have a combination type of skin (70% oily, I must say) and powders tend to melt on my face too fast hence I get oily and shiny faster too. Do you think this would work for me, Miss Martha?

  7. I got this from my BDJ box last December but I haven't opened it yet. I'm glad you did this review and bdw, you look fresh and glowing. The cheese grater comparison was exactly what crossed my mind when I read how it works. I will probably use this to set my foundation too as I don't think I can go to work without my trusty everyday foundation. Do you think it would be good for setting under eye makeup too in case the shade I got is too light for me? I might try wearing this alone during the weekends though.
