THE VERDICT:

EUREKA! I have found a good dupe for my current HG liquid foundation, Kat Von D Lock It Tattoo Foundation! Guys and girls, meet Flormar Mat Touch Foundation, a mat foundation with impressive coverage and staying power, just like my fave, Kat Von D Lock It!

FLORMAR MAT TOUCH FOUNDATION IN M303 CLASSIC BEIGE IN DETAIL

A mat finish foundation made with spherical powder spheres that create a smooth surface. Silicone- treated pigments contribute to a lasting, matte finish. Silicone Powder keeps integrity and freshness of product intact on the skin while controlling oil. Contains Vitamin E for antioxidant benefits and Panthenol to moisturize skin. Locally, it comes in about 6 shades.

Pump

My shade is Classic Beige M303, a medium beige shade with a yellow undertone. Some shades have pinkish undertone to them and this is one of the yellow- toned, Filipino- perfect shades in the selection; wish there were more yellow- toned shades though. Flormar is one of the drugstore foundation brands locally that has a good range of shades for warm and dark skin.

Texture is a light cream; coverage is medium to heavy; it has a perfume- like scent  that might not sit well with a lot of people though, but I'm okay with it.

FLORMAR MAT TOUCH FOUNDATION IN M303 CLASSIC BEIGE IN ACTION

Bare skin

1 1/2 layer of Flomar Mat Touch Foundation

Flormar's smoothing powers lie in the product's texture that's very conducive to layering: the layers dry up quickly and melt onto the skin perfectly.

Here's a close look at two layers. Sure, I do look like I'm wearing foundation, but it doesn't look cakey! Finish is soft matte.

TIP: It's best applied with a damp blending sponge!

The finish, staying power, and coverage of this product really reminds me of KVD's legendary Lock It Foundation, but only at an affordable price; been wearing it a lot since I got it! The product stays on for a long time, like 6-8 hours long! On cool days, it can even stay intact for up to 9 hours! How cool is that?! On the sides of the nose, it has a tendency to cake so be sure to blend it thoroughly on that part. No breakouts with this product!

Flormar Mat Touch Foundation is perfect for those with combination normal/oily to very oily skin; if you have blemishes, it's a good choice because of its great coverage; just be sure to moisturize before usage, especially if you have normal or slightly dry skin to combat dryness. This is one of best drugstore foundation finds for oily skin to date!

14 Lovely Thoughts

  1. Hi Ms. M! I think I've been seeing this a few years ago, I don't know if it is the improved packaging or product, but every time I'm in the dept. store, lots of girls are buying this foundie. I remember it was priced 599 last year, nagmahal na pala :o Anyways, I was impressed on the coverage and staying power, may vision kasi ako na pag drugstore ang foundie, the quality is not that good. Pero eto, exception. Ang ganda, and tho may slight gray sa skin, it turns out nice naman when combined with make up. Do you took your photo with or without flash? It seems that the foundie oxidizes and adapt on the skin! :) Does it creases kaya when super oily ng face? I'd love to try it. Try ko mamaya pag punta ko ng SM hope they will have a tester for this. Hehe. Thanks Ms. M!

  2. Hi, Ms. Martha! Do you like this better than Revlon Colorstay and L'oreal True Match? I'm torn on what liquid foundation to buy for a cousin's upcoming wedding. Maybe you can help with some recos? What I look for is something lightweight but long-lasting and would not cake. Thank you! :D

  7. The shade really suits you. I think it will suit me as well. But I still have IT CC cream (which I absolutely love!) I hope they will come up with more yellow toned shades, since it is the best for us morenas.

  8. Flormar was one of the brands I've seen during my trip in Barcelona and Frankfurt. I bought the Flormar corrector palette and Stylematic Eyeliner. Unfortunately, I'm not quite satisfied with the products. It's great that they have good foundation for oily skin! Thanks for the review.

  10. I love the coverage, finish and texture of this foundie but, the deal breaker is that I don't have their shade...most of the shade is too pinkish on me.
