 THE VERDICT:

There are some days when you just don't want to bother with a full face and tinted moisturizer is the answer; a new friend of mine whom I've gotten pretty close with even if it's only our 2nd time to meet (haha!) was so sweet to gift me with this tinted moisturizer from Elizabeth Arden; so timely because I have been looking for a tinted moisturizer to alternate with foundation. FYI, I used to wear tinted moisturizer a lot that's why this makeup has a special place in me.

If you want good coverage and moisture without the weight, try Elizabeth Arden Pure Finish Tinted Moisturizer; good enough to keep your base looking fine on an errands- filled day.

WHAT IS IT?

A light tinted moisturizer to even out the complexion; has SPF 15 and Dionysis extract that provide antioxidant effects, Vitamins A, C, and E, and Microlight Minerals that help diffuse light to soften the look of wrinkles. Comes in 3 shades: Fair, Light, and Deep.

Ingredients

It has a mousse- like consistency and a soft watery feel; very nice and apt for today's frakkin' hot weather. It is unscented and glides on smoothly. I'm again getting used to its sheer coverage as I've been a full coverage girl for the longest time now.

This product contains physical sunscreen so if you tend to break out from chemical sunscreen, you can consider trying it out.

EA's shades for this product lean a bit darker; Light is not really light, but a warm beige shade with a pink undertone.

HOW IS IT? WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE?

Bare skin with concealer

With two layers of the tinted moisturizer

For a sheer product, it does provide pretty good coverage that can even out the skin tone nicely. It feels practically like skin care and my skin was thanking me the whole time the day I took it out on a spin; it's so light!

I set this product with a pressed powder and it looks like this; nice, fresh, and skin that looks like its breathing; this is a refreshing kind of coverage for me.

However, the shade is a bit dark on me because of the pinkish undertone so I hope for version with yellow tones. Second, coverage doesn't last that long as it's only tinted moisturizer so wear primer underneath and concealer if you have discolorations.

This is a pretty good tinted moisturizer; love the feel and finish of it, but I wish shade range will improve and I hope it will stay intact longer without sacrificing the texture considering the kind of technological advancement we have in cosmetics today.

  3. I haven't tried a tinted moisturizer. Is there any that is good for oil control and less expensive? 'Coz there are days that I don't want to wear foundation or BB cream, just light but with a hint of coverage.

  7. I am using sun care Celeteque moisturizer as of the moment as I have discoloration around the mouth area due to peeling and I've been seeing the same sun care moisturizer from Celeteque but it's tinted. What's the difference? Is it something that is like a foundation already?

    1. Tinted Moisturizer is literally moisturizer, but with sheer pigments for those who don't like wearing any makeup at all, but want a teeny hint of coverage to even out the skin. Foundation, although same in formula, is different because it's makeup already. :)

  11. Worth the price for Elizabeth Arden but for a Mom like me it's too pricey. I bought quick fx tinted moisturizer in Watson and it's good also.

  12. Ang freshhhhhhhh!!!! Suits you well ate 💕 Kaso ang layo ng Rustans 😭 Someday 🤞🏻 Never tried a tinted moisturizer or a simple moisturizer kaya siguro my face, esp sa cheeks sometimes get so dry. Primer and foundation lang kasi ako, maybe I should try using a moisturizer din. I like this one kaso I can't afford this one yet, so will look for cheaper ones 💕
