 THE VERDICT:

Does your skin look 'tired' at the middle of the week? Mine does! I'm sharing with you this skin care duo that I turn to when my skin's not looking its best; one is a toner that perks up the skin while the other one helps absorb your face masks more, ergo maximizing the benefits.

WHAT IS IT?

Ginzing Energy- Boosting Treatment Lotion Mist is enriched with Panax Ginseng and Coffee extracts that help bring back vitality and energy to the skin.

Maskimizer is a pre- mask solution that prepares the skin, thus optimizing the benefits from face masks.

Ingredients

HOW IS IT? HOW DOES IT WORK?

The toner is a light, moisturizing mist that hydrates, soothes, and refreshes the skin; it has an energizing citrus fragrance. After about two weeks of usage, my skin just looks more awake and brighter; I also spritz this on my skin at the middle of each day to refresh my makeup and skin, and also, as a makeup finisher. This toner has a pretty moisturizing feel so use gradually if you have oily skin to avoid the 'heavy' feeling; if your concern is if the formula will aggravate oiliness, no, it will not; been using it even during daytime and I did not recognize an increase in sebum production.

If you have essence as pre- skin care, then you have Maskimizer as pre- mask!

How does this work, exactly? Maskimizer softens and prepares the skin for receiving the benefits of face mask, plus has other ingredients as well that will boost the effects of your mask; I noticed that my face mask feels much more absorbed when I'm using this product.

Here's Maskimizer in action:

Left is freshly- applied clay mask on bare skin; Right is freshly- applied clay mask on top of Maskimizer.

Left is clay mask on bare skin that has finally set. Right is clay mask on Maskimizer that has finally set; notice that the one with Maskimizer looks more absorbed by the skin; no breaking patches and mask sets better; everything is being absorbed by the skin!

TIP: All you need is a light mist of Maskimizer to prep your skin; don't drench your skin with it. Otherwise, you mask will come off.

Every Wednesday is a chance for me to rejuvenate my skin so my skin care ritual at night is longer than usual; I inject Maskimizer into my routine and use a generous amount of Ginzing to perk up my skin; these products are amazing pick-me-uppers for your skin each week!

  6. Ginzing mist sounds good for a perk me up when stucked in a traffic (Hey, Edsa!) I wish Origins has travel size of these, it will save space on our bags and also if we are not that sure if it works and just want to try the product. The maskimizer is interesting for me. It is my first time to read about something to prep your skin first before applying the mask and it looks promising! Hope I can try both. :)

Goshhhhh masyado na ata akong di updated wala akong masyadong alam sa skin care 😭 Pero it looks so promising and effective (did a little research, naparesearch ako kasi I feel so left out haha). Maybe it's time to take care of my skin too with skin care products. Lalo pa na I'm gonna start working soon, I want to balance work and my self. Need to take care of myself too
