TUTORIAL: The Perfect Smoky Eye + Youtube Tutorial

I think that the classic smoky eye will always be the sexiest eye makeup look: it's simple, intensifies the eyes, and overall, looks sexy. However, a lot of girls fear the look thinking that they end up with Panda or Raccoon eyes!

Been through all of that and I've perfected my smoky eye makeup skills over the years and I'm sharing it with all of you today!

Let's perfect that smoky eye makeup!

TOP: L-R, steps 1 and 2
BOTTOM: L-R, steps 3 and 4

STEP 1- Prep you eyes with primer and use a matte rose beige/beige eyeshadow to take out the light tones on the eyes.

STEP 2- Apply a dark brown eyeshadow, the first base for the black eyeshadow.

STEP 3- Apply a black pencil on the lower lid. This will intensify the black eyeshadow more and will fill in gaps for a intense look.

STEP 4- Smudge the black liner lightly, just enough to blur out the edges.

L-R: Steps 4 and 5

STEP 4- Apply a matte black eyeshadow on the lower lash line. You have the option to extend it like what I did in case you want a specific shape for your smoky eye makeup. If not, just follow the natural curve of your eyes.

STEP 5- This is the secret to a perfect smoky eye: LOTS OF BLENDING. Warm up your hands by blending out the black eyeshadow in small, circular motions and on small areas only. Next, blend upward and inward going to the inner lids. Keep in mind that you're creating a fading effect, the secret to getting rid of the Panda and Raccoon look.

Remember to apply the black eyeshadow gradually to minimize mistakes and this also helps you control the intensity of the smoky eye makeup. Also, don't blend all the way to the inner lid so you will still have that smoky effect.
