THE VERDICT:
Readers would ask me before "How do I retouch foundation?" I wish Revlon Photoready Instafix was already invented that time because this is what I would recommend straight up!
Finally, here's the answer to retouching foundation without having to remove the rest of your makeup!
WHAT IS IT?
Revlon Photoready Insta Fix is an on-the-go makeup retouching stick that has Light Filtering Technology for a flawless finish. This product can be used for touch- ups and concealing.
The shade I have is Natural Beige. It's a bit light for my skin tone so my quick guess is I'm more of Rich Ginger.
Upon first use, I already felt why it can be used for touch ups: texture is light and it has a powdery finish so it will work well on top of a powdered face. Pigmentation is light to medium and has no scent. If you have naturally flawless skin, use it on its own; if you have heavy discolorations, you will need to use a corrector or concealer.
HOW DOES INSTA- FIX WORK?
Bare face
Insta Fix is a retoucher, according to Revlon, but it can also be used as a foundation in my opinion.
In this photo, I've worn Insta Fix as foundation; I filmed for 3 hours and my oilies began to show up.
This time, I used Insta Fix to retouch the coverage on my nose area. Amazingly, it did not cake even if I expected it to and I did not have any trouble working it on top of a powdered face. Cool!
Some tips in using Insta Fix as a retoucher:
1. Apply sparingly. Anything over board will result to caky- looking makeup.
2. Use only to retouch parts where foundation has faded. Applying it on an area with intact foundation may result to patchy coverage.
3. Set with powder to prolong staying power.
This product will work on combination oily-normal skin types. I love this product because it is such a multi tasker and finally, there's something that will let us retouch foundation in half the time and effort!
