THE VERDICT:

One of the most extensive lipstick collections out there, Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge, has come up with a lighter version, but doesn't fall short on pigments; why of course, if it's Make Up For Ever, don't expect anything less!

Presenting a few from the collection plus one that's made in collaboration with Jessie J!

WHAT IS IT:

Artist Rouge Light features a lighter, hydrating texture yet still packed with color that the brand is known for. Comes in 25 shades.

The products come in a new glossy bullet tube. Chic! The purple shade is made in collaboration with Jessie J!

Ingredients

Look at those gorgeous bullets!

HOW IS IT?

L401 (Brick Red)

L400 is an old Hollywood- style red; definitely sexy and chic at the same time!

L204 (Fuchsia)

L204 is a true blue Fuchsia. This lipstick range has reminded me how much I loved Fuchsia back then and that it's an essential lipstick shade that perks up a face. Can we bring back retro shades, please?

L105 (Praline)

Praline mimics the natural color of the lips and provides a healthy sheen; it's the perfect lipstick for non- lipstick people.

L300 (Peach)

L300 seems like a very pale Peach in the tube, but when worn, it just naturally enhances the lips by adding a soft peach hue. Great for K-Beauty inspired looks or a dewy, everyday look.

L501 (Aubergine)

This is the limited edition Jessie J shade, a classic Aubergine that adds a touch of glam to any look.

Texture is light with a balmy, watery feel, but it doesn't drip nor slide around the lips; you can choose to apply either a light or heavy coverage, whatever floats your boat. No dryness and it keeps my lips supple! Staying power is okay; I expect that this will not stay as long as Artist Rouge Creme or Matte because of its formula, but at least it doesn't evaporate or fade during wear, plus I noticed that the darker shades leave a hint of stain on the lips. Also, it's so easy to create ombre and gradient lip looks with its formula.

I'm more of an Artist Rouge Matte girl, but I see myself wearing this when the weather gets colder (ber months are here!).

Artist Rouge Light is for those who love mixing and matching lipstick colors and creating lip art, and most especially, for those with dry lips.
