THE VERDICT:
My makeup mantra has always been: if you find a matte lipstick that does not dry out your lips, never let it go. Seriously, it's hard for me to find a matte lipstick, most especially matte liquid lipsticks, that will never dry out my lips so when I learned that Cathy Doll Nude Me lipsticks is one of them, I immediately included it in my list and now it's one of my favorite affordable, non- drying matte liquid lipsticks.
WHAT IS IT?
Cathy Doll Nude Me is a range of 9 liquid matte lipsticks that promise to be smudge- proof, long- wearing, and non- drying. Locally, there are 7 shades, if I'm not mistaken.
Ingredients
Consistency is a semi- runny liquid with an opaque finish; a little goes a long way and the product sets in seconds so it's best to apply gradually to come up with a perfect coverage; it is virtually unscented and finish is matte.
HOW IS IT? WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE?
ROSE BLOOM
- Nude peach.
ROSE EMBROIDERY
- Nude vintage pink.
NUDE BROWN
- warm midtone beige.
TRUE BROWN
- dark brown (Kylie True Brown K dupe!).
MOSS ROSE
- Pastel sand pink.
BURGUNDY RED
- dark red with a hint of pink.
Staying power is great; it can last without feathering and flaking, and doesn't come off easily when you eat. It has a tendency to feel like it's clinging to the lips, but overall feel is lightweight and fairly comfortable to wear, at least. I've worn this for a week straight and nope, my lips never felt dry and flaky during wear; I like the color selection as well.
Can't believe that these are P399.00 a pop only; if you are looking for high quality yet budget- friendly matte liquid lipsticks that won't dry out the lips, you gotta keep these babies from Cathy Doll in the radar.

ReplyDeleteI am a fan of burgundy red...and surprisingly the rose embroidery works!. I was afraid to try it as I thought it would look strange on me. Seeing it on you however, make me want to try it!

ReplyDeleteI notice that nude brown emphasize your lip line Ms. M (though I think it's because you don't smile in the photo) but I like the color of it. I'm drawn to rose embroidery (the shade somewhat resembles sleek shebbychic) and rose bloom (I think this one is unique..I rarely see peachy nude in drugstore selection).

ReplyDeleteTrue Brown seems like such a legit dupe for Kylie True Brown K! It's my favorite lippie on you from this post. I do agree with your mantra. It's super hard to find liquid matte lipsticks that are affordable and at the same time, performs well on every aspect. I love that this line is fairly comfortable and a a good staying power as well.
