THE VERDICT:
This is the highly raved concealer by Beauty influencers all over; I would always see girls featuring this twisty tube on 1- minute tutorials on Instagram, Youtube stars swearing by this product, and members of makeup groups inquiring often about it. What is it? Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer.
I received a sample of this famous tube a couple of weeks back and have been using it almost everyday because guuurrrrlll...I love the coverage, staying power, and finish! Rave- worthy indeed!
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer is a super concentrated concealer + treatment that conceals and helps correct fine lines with Haloxyl and Goji Berry. Locally, it comes in three shades: Light, Medium, and Honey. I have read that this range offers a Neutralizer and Corrector too, but I am not sure if they are available locally.
The packaging comes in a twist tube with a micro- corrector applicator that is apparently antibacterial; this is the first concealer I own that comes with a sponge applicator. What's good about it is it dispenses the right amount of product and smooths it out, although you would need a separate sponge, brush, or your fingers to blend it into a seamless finish.
Concealer has a rich liquid consistency, making it such a dream to blend and easy to layer on the skin. One swipe and it delivers impressive coverage, immediately smooths the skin texture, lifts the look of the skin, and brightens dark circles. Check out what it looks like:

Coverage is medium to heavy; formula feels moisturizing as well so no need to use eye cream, at least for me; if you have really dry under eyes, then by all means, use an eye cream. I also like how this makes my under eye area look more fresh.
As for staying power, it's commendable; I use it on casual days and even during exercise and the concealer doesn't budge too much provided that it has been set properly with powder. If it does fade especially when the weather is extremely warm, I find it insignificant. A lot said that this is a good dupe for Nars Creamy Radiant Concealer, although I can't comment on that because I have yet to try the latter.
TIP: After applying the product on your under eyes, spread and set using your ring finger. This foundation sets best using a finger.
Overall, this is a good concealer: good coverage, good staying power, good packaging- all these for an affordable price and I think that's why a lot love it!

Okay nga po coverage nya sa under eye,yumg isang product palng ng maybelline ang nagamit ko. Curious lang po ako Ms Martha if ever na pahiga ang pag lapag sa concealer na ito possible po ba na mag leak?
ReplyDeleteI've been waiting on your review for this one! It's a little more pricey compare to Maybelline's Fit Me concealer but that's probably because this one offers healing treatments as well. I hope they'll put this up on sale soon! I'm really impressed so far. A lot of people have been raving about this and it's a good thing Maybelline Ph finally launched it here this year. DeleteConcealing my dark circles is part of my everyday makeup routine. I recently purchased similar product and yes, it wears quite long and brightens my eyes up well.
ReplyDeleteThough, I don’t really find the sponge applicator hygienic despite their claim of it being antibacterial. I have really sensitive eyes so find it hard to trust that it's still ok for daily use when it has gotten grungy-looking. Well maybe, that's just me.
Overall, it does all the work to keep you looking fresh and awake all day. This may have been a good buy for me, if not for its applicator, though. :)
Oo nga po Ms. Martha mgnda za, khit noon p man mgnda n po un Maybelline tlga at affordable pa. Mtgal ko ng gmit un Maybelline prdcts nila from lipstick, lip blm, to power, mascara, blush, cguro yn concealr n lng kulng sakin. Mukhng promising din, I'll try n pgipunan xa. Kya nga pla xa sikat kc mgnda un coverage nia at cmpre un prce s high ends brands, winner again s Maybelline!

ReplyDeleteneed ko gnyan, I really don't know what really brand ang gagamitin ko sa under eyes ko, super dark kasi and well, andami ko na wrinkles under eyes! huhu! maganda yan ah!
ReplyDeleteAko nalang yata hindi pa nakakasubok nito haha! If I'm not mistaken, this is included in the ongoing Sale. I need to have this. Laging hello dark undereyes ako kapag gumigising. Hindi ako regular na nagamit ng undereye concealer, naka eyeglasses kasi ako kaya feeling ko natatakpan naman, hindi halata. Pero sabi nya nila, mas maitim tingnan yun undereyes kapag naka eyeglasses kaya kelangan i lighten.

ReplyDeleteI always wanted to try that even before it came here in the Philippines. But I'm having second thoughts about it because the Maybelline Fit Me concealer gives me a burning sensation on my undereye, I don't know if it will have the same senstion..I hope not! But still, I'm willing to try it.
