THE VERDICT:

Gold is one of my favorite shades because nothing flatters my skin tone better than this!

When I heard that Guerlain was releasing a gold- hued makeup collection, I couldn't contain my excitement. In my opinion, Guerlain has always been on the cool side of tones and hues, and a warm, golden collection is such a breather from their previous collections and perfect for morena girls like me!

I'm swatching my most expensive holiday makeup collection to date!

Guerlain Holiday 2017 collection consists of limited edition Meteorites, Terracotta bronzer, makeup palette, Rouge G lipstick, and gold mascara. Holiday 2017 collection 1 features these 4 products, while Holiday 2017 collection 2 features these plus the gold mascara and retails around P17,000.

The products come in a white, hard gift box; a gift that's truly fitting for a queen!

The products also come in their individual boxes. These products are also being sold separately.

Terracota Light Bronzer is a golden bronzer that adds warmth and infuses the skin with sunlit glow. The special powder creates an ultra- fine "mono" film that perfectly hugs the skin and its contours to give a seemingly supernatural glow. It is also enriched with moisturizing actives that won't dry out the skin.

Meteorites Gold Pearl marries white and gold light to give a fresh radiance to the skin. It is encased in a charming hive- inspired metal packaging.

Terracotta Gold Light Bronzer

The bronzer has a super smooth finish with zero fallout; I like how silky the product is and how it glides nicely across the skin; the powder texture is so fine that I can even use a finger to apply it and it will still look natural.

It took me a while to decide to touch those blushes! Augh! So pretty!

Palette Gold is dubbed as a multi-use palette because it contains versatile powders that you can use to highlight the complexion, color the eyes, and add a sparkling touch to the complexion.

Here are the eyeshadows. From L-R:

1. Matte charcoal brown
2. Matte dirty white
3. Gold shimmer
4. Pearl white shimmer
5. Rosegold shimmer
6. Bronze metallic

The powders are soft, buttery, and pigmented. For the shimmer powders have a gold leaf effect, thus they need to be on top of a sticky surface to maximize pigmentation so it's best applied on top of concealer, primer, or cream shadow.

Blushes from L-R: peachy pink; pastel pink

When you finally use the blushes, you lose the lovely detailing on the surface of the powders. Ah, beauty is indeed fleeting! :p

The blushes, btw, have a soft texture, light to medium finish, and skin- like payoff.

Rouge G, ah, one of my first luxury lipsticks! It is my husband's first- ever gift to me during our first year. :) For holiday 2017, Rouge G came in a gorgeous dark blue and gold packaging and in the shade Glamorous Cherry, a cherry pink shade with micro gold shimmer.

I used all the products to accentuate my look. Multi-use palette eyeshadow on my eyes, peach pink blush on my cheeks, Terracotta Gold light on my temples, nose bridge, and dusted lightly all over my skin, and Meteorites Gold Light all over my face. Lipstick is Rouge G Glamorous Cherry. Lovin' my golden glow in here!

I'm happy that I got this set for the holidays because it's one of those beautiful, warm skin- friendly sets by Guerlain, plus the powders specifically of Terracotta bronzer and Meteorites are beautiful as always. Guerlain's powders have always been the kind that give you that "your skin is nice" look.

If you're interested in any of these products, go rush to your nearest Guerlain counter because as I said, these babies are limited edition!
